Found Receipt for expensive Jewellery in car

Got the car cleaned this Morning, and came across a receipt for expensive jewellery.. The jewellery definitely isn’t for me. Jewellery really isn’t my thing, and there’s no special occasion for him to get me anything.

Only me and my husband use the car. Although we do pick up friends from time to time. The receipt is from a few weeks ago, and on this particular day he went in to work (he usually goes in once a week) I do believe he actually went into work this day but who knows what he did after.

The receipt is from around 5;40 pm when he would have finished work. I just don’t know what to expect. Has anyone been in a similar situation ….should I just ask him about it? I don’t want to spook him if he is cheating -so then he’s extra careful. then I’ll never find out the truth!

I just have a really terrible feeling in my gut that he is cheating. Although he hasn’t shown any signs that he is at all.

Hi Op Very pleased to hear it was something of nothing. All the best

So glad that it was nothing sinister.

You were not wrong to jump to an incorrect conclusion and fear the worst. Past experiences, not feeling too confident or just for some other reason...we can all jump to conclusions.

I'm happy for you that this was innocent.

@Candleinthebreeze

£150 is not expensive jewellery, a ring and bracelet do that combined value is little more than costume jewellery, any woman he might be having an affair with would likely swiftly end the affair on receipt of jewellery of that value!

If trying to impress/seduce a woman he’s gonna need deeper pockets

No, a decent woman would NOT end a relationship because he only spent £150... HmmHmmHmmHmmConfused I've heard it all now! Absolute shallow snobbery at its worst

Well my accountant is called Andrew, but he’s very definitely a stereotypical accountant and an Andrew type rather than an Andy!

I also think… don’t know where Andy came from. I don’t even know anyone called Andy!

@BackInBlackAgain

OP, you said his ipad and phone were linked, after you pulled him up on the messages did he unlink his devices? Because if it was innocent and was his brother he wouldnt really need to unlink them but if he did unlink them.. why? and how soon after you pulled him up did he suddenly unlink them? Sorry but this fact alone sounds dodgy.

I wouldn’t consider this dodgy at all. If I found out that someone was using another device to access my messages, both sent and received, you can be bloody sure I’d unlink the devices. I have nothing to hide, but nonetheless I don’t want anyone else reading private text conversations and I Andy think those who text me deserve their messages to be kept private to the intended recipient.

@MeAndZig

Hmm could you call the Jewellry shop and pretend you’re the recipient ? Although not sure how useful that is . Hope you get to the bottom of it

What I never understand is why people don't go to "last" on a thread that spans multiple pages and simply just read the last few posts - generally this gives an indication of the outcome and doesn't require reading the whole thread...
