Namechanged for this one.

I'm in my late thirties, met a new bloke, haven't done the deed yet.

So, the question I need to ask is what do men like these days with regard to pubes. I was married for 14 years and basically just kept things trimmed down there.
Don't want to end up in bed with this guy and have him turned off by my possibly 'retro' style!

I'm happy to keep up with the times but don't want to go all out bald down there if it's not necessary.

Any tips? Smile

Sorry OP I haven't read the whole thread as it is so long, but all I can say is, do what you wanna do!! If he doesn't like it, stuff him he isn't right for you.

true but i would think it is supposed to be protected to prevent infection if nothing else. And the clitoris does also have its own hood.

I think the lack of hair means the cliterus (sp?!) is less 'protected'.

Good for you Namechanger. I would have done exactly the same.

That may be one of the reasons why your DH likes it Notta. He doesnt have to "work as hard" to give you an orgasm. Ive never been able to achieve that in the missionary position just through penetration and its got nothing to do with hair.

I haven't managed to read ALL of this....

I'm 35 and have a battery operated trimmer (from boots) which i use 'all over' to keep things short and neat. I have a bit of a 'fro going in otherwise, which is noticeable through gym lycra!!!!

After that i shave the sides, sometimes the undercarriage and sometimes the lot. And yes i have a wonky inner labia - just the one mind - that likes to peek out.

I do this for me know(although DH likes it well trimmed too) as i find i am more likely (much more likely....) to get 'satisfaction' if doing the deed in the missionary position while trimmed/shaven.

Sorry TMI ....

Usually all off but depends what I feel like. This thread has just reminded me of an incident a few years ago that was definitely one of my all time sexual low points... Went to bed with a randomer on an impulse while the pube area was looking a bit more natural and he asked me if he could shave it! I was gobsmacked tbh, made me feel like he thought I was gross. I kicked him out for that, bit of a mood killer Angry

Aww Booster, you've got me dead right.

You obviously know a pig when you come across one.

ElizabethX without pubes, it doesn't look enough like a muff - he's a genius, that's it exactly. Hairless bits remind me of Barbie and Action Man dolls who just have a mound there without any definition to show that its genitals! Right, I'm glad I have yet another reason to welcome back my bush.

I have a feeling Cron that your problem is that you might not be anyones masturbatory simulus.

I raised this with my bloke and he observed that "without pubes, it doesn't look enough like a muff".

He's a poet and he didn't knoet.

Apart from pube removal I'm not convinced that very much grooming / beauty stuff is done for men's benefit at all. I say this because IME they simply don't notice the majority of it.

Eg my birthday present from the bloke was a spa day at which I had among other things my nails done, all 10. He knew I was doing a spa sesh, he knew when it was, he knew what I was planning to have done (because he paid) and did he notice / or comment on the result? He did not.

I said Do you like my nails and he looked hunted and said "What colour were they before?"

He'd notice if my pubes disappeared, but only because he likes them. I don't think he has a view on my nails, hair etc.

Buy a retro swimming costume! Mines likes shorts at the bottom so I can grow them as long as I like, I might get them braided.
