Confusion Indeed. What is this all about? What was all the hype about?

It is just a tedious tale of girlies, who all sound the same, having sex and babies. Boring.

I tried reading the first one and gave up as it was all too melodramatic for my tastes. I've just heard a snippet of this one in the car. Mis. Er. Able.

The Cazalet books are better, but the really good bit is to read Elizabeth Howard's autobiography and realise how close to truth it was ( and its juicy gossip to realise who Michael was, also pretty libellous). But I don't think this book was as good, and it is very chick-lit.

Pepys is easy enough to follow.
Went out and did something historically important.
Saw a woman I fancied.
Had some trivial but interesting domestic experience.
Saw another woman I fancied.
