Yes IKEWYM evenkeel i started a thread about the Joburg storyline (I took the bait and started listening to Amex I'm afraid) IMO the S.W.'s are not thinking clearly at all.

See, this is just so irritating. When they started AmEx they promised that people who wanted to carry on listening to The Archers and not the new show would never be at a disadvantage - ie that there would be separate, self-contained storylines.

It's just not happening, is it? I heard the Sunday omnibus this morning with Roy getting a panicky call about Phoebe and a taxi....and of course there's been a whole string of teasers with the 'Phoebe not coming home yet' storyline. Now I find there's been some massive knife-edge drama involving all the SA lot which can't help but affect TA listeners, except we don't know anything about it.

Pah, I'm in a grump now. It might even be the last straw that stops me listening to TA altogether, given the ludicrous David & Ruth intimidation business recently

God I can't remember Vetlust's name (so let's just call her that shall we ) but basically Daniel adored her, she strang him along a huge amount whilst dating the school rugger bugger. Finally ditched him for Daniel but was all over Alasdair about wanting to be a vet so Alasdair took her out on rounds for the experience (fnar) etc and she finally flung herself at him, and after about 3 seconds of horrid Archer kissing slurp noises (TM) he came to his senses.

Vetlust went all fatal attraction threatening to get him reported to the Vet Governing body, the police, Shula etc. Alasdair confessed to Shula who swallowed the 'she threw herself at me, all I'm guilty of is naivety' within 3 seconds. Daniel also found out, stropped about in his internal monologue for an episode and then was also convinced by Alasdair showing him texts from Vetlust.

...and that was it, never mentioned again on Amex nor The Archers...

I remember that too it was the same call then? I bet the S.W's wish they'd never started all this I've only just started listening to Ambex. so I didn't hear that voice over, was it to clarify things?

At least though they've stopped that hideous stream of consciousness voice over this series of AE! That was making me want to scratch my ears off!

We heard Hayley's side a few days ago on The Archers where it was all 'well I'd arranged to speak with her at this time. ok. get her to call me please.' terseness from Hayley.

Then on yesterday's Ambex we got Kate's flustered 'look she's not here, she's gone out, yes yes I'll get her to call'....

I assumed these were the same call but they happened on totally different days

Yes ace I'm proper confused now; how far ahead or behind in time is S.A.? from us,if it is at all? We heard the call to Hayley in Ambex didn't we? IKEWYM I'm hooked as well
