Some Phil and Ted Sport Questions

Does anyone know what age/size 'toddler' the P and T sport can take please?

DS 3 is now five, but has Downs Syndrome. His walking is limited and he is small for his age, in 2-3 or 3-4 years clothes, and abotu half the size of my sisters son who is four weeks older, and I suppose the same sort of size as my neighbours large three year old. Definitely lighter weightwise, but haven't weighed him for ages. My baby isn't due until August and I wondered if DS3 doesn't grow too much by then, the Phil and Ted Sport might be suitable?

It appeals as it can be used as a single too. I will have another pushchair for 'normal' use, and the P & T will be used for when I walk the dogs on the beach, so maybe an hour or so a day absolute max? (I dont' always have to take the children)

Might I get away with it? Thankyou.

I had the P&T Sport and in the newborn mode with the toddler on top DD2 struggled to get her head under the hood, we measured her at the time and she was 90cms, it was only a problem when it was in newborn/toddler, as soon as it was in 2 toddler mode it was fine.

I would second the go and find one and sit him in it.

Also the E3 v1 has a different kind of newborn fitting which would work better.

i think you would struggle with him in the doubles seat tho in newborn mode?

My 4 year old can fit in the main seat with ease and the doubles kit at a push.

Hmmmm I would look for the original version of the phil & ted on ebay called the kiwi explorer, also the ozzy explorer. Main seat fit an average 5 year old in it easy.

Had one loved it, tried the sport hated it!

My over 20kg almost 5 year old fits in the P&T so I think you could get away with it

I have a P&T Sport, as a single, for DS, who is 16 months, and tall. I have to say that I sometimes strap him in and wonder how much longer we've got left in it - he seems so big in it already. Could you not go and try one out somewhere? Big branches of Mothercare tend to have them on display.

If it is OK for your DS3, then I couldn't recommend it enough. I love it and it would be perfect for the beach.
