Has anyone used Baby Travel Ltd?

I've been comparing prices for the Graco Evo travel system and the best price I can find is £300 on Baby Travel Ltd (vs £430 from Kiddicare) but I'm a bit wary of making such important purchases from small companies so I was wondering if anyone had any experience of them or similar small websites?

baby-travel.uk.com/products/graco-evo-travel-system-sungsafe-carseat-slate

They also sell via Amazon which is £350 but might be a safer option...

avoid baby-travel.uk.com Baby Travel UK like the plague!!!

Terrible company.

We purchased a car seat and the lock harness was digging into our child's legs. When we went to the company to arrange a return, they said there was nothing wrong with it.

When we asked to arrange a return, they said we have to pay for it ourselves whereas before they had a returns facility costing £12. I think they knew it would not be worth our while paying £20+ for postage.

Don't waste your time and money folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently used BABY TRAVEL U.K. LTD recently to purchase a travel system from my grandchild.

The item was reasonably priced, but the delivery didn't go well.

1st, they failed to advise that the item would be in more than 1 package and could arrive at different time.

2nd when the delivery failed, I reported the issue to them and they were slow to respond and show no real urgency to resolve the issue.

They do not appear to have a proper customer service set up.

I personally would avoid them they provide poor quality & poor customer service I've purchased a couple of pushchairs in the past without much problem but when
I purchased the isafe sail stroller from them back in July I emailed them about the wheel being dodgey but they never responded so then I messaged them on Facebook they told me to email them again which I did but still didn't get a response so I messaged them again on Facebook but still haven't had a reply I've been unable to use the stroller and I've had to purchase another 1

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!!!

My mum and I purchased exactly the same isofix I safe aurora car seat 2 years ago priced at £339 each
Both are loosing screws bolts springs left right and centre. We couldn't see where parts were coming from so contacted baby travel uk ltd through email.

First email had to be chased. Poor responses were coming back and very vague emails. Because emails were poor I started phone calls 🙄🙄 all I would get was we will look into it and email you.

All we were requesting were they to cover the costs of courier services.

They were offering repair if found to be manafacture issue. They wont pay courier. When asked if it was manafactures fault he couldn't tell me what the next step was repair or replace

After speaking to trading standards who gave me information how to deal with it. I spoke to the company to inform them and they again fobbed with me off please let us look into again before any more communication with trading standards I was conned. After this phone call I did get an email stating they would reimburse courier cost if found to be manufacturing fault.

I had request their complaints procedure several times. Always ignored.

When asked what there testing and safety tests and repairs policy was the gentleman answered with that's not my department that's the repairs department so I dont know.

After a lengthy email as requested by them stating my grievances and complaint again. I had a very short email again ignoring all questions and requests (complaints procedure and the adr scheme)

To say they are happy to look at it but I now have up cover the courier costs 🤣🤣 when challenged and attaching the email they sent me stating they would cover courier, I got a mumbled answer.

Then I googled them and came across this thread 😡😡.

Experiencing same problems. I dont even believe this company has a repairs centre. I believe their "repair reports" all state the same wear and tear. This is not a kids electronic toy it's their safety and this company does not seem to give 2 hoots which Is worrying.

I'm now going to stop all communication. And go back to trading standards. I will also be going to panoramas rogue traders.

DID ANYONE GET ANYWHERE WITH TRADING STANDARS?

everything there doing is against consumer rights. The customer service is shocking never have I ever come across a company like it.

We now have to go purchase 2 new car seats. But I will pursue this with trading standars etc. To make sure none else buys from this company!!!!!!!!!

we bought the i safe 3 in 1 travel systen for our unborn child in january well ahead of it being needed as we bought stuff as we could afford it!
we didnt inspect the item until june when we bought the luxury bedding, rain covers etc.

we found a fault with the zip on the footmuff of the carry cott, we contacted baby travel, sent them photos etc and they said as it was over 6 months old we would have to pay for a replacement, we pointed out it wasnt six months old and they insisted we send it back at our cost for them to inspect the damage! so we sent it back at a cost of about £16, after waiting a couple of days we received a copy of the report which basically said in was not a manuffacturing fault and that we had caused the damage! we hadnt even used it at that point because our baby isnt due til the end of August! we have tried to get a free of charge repair or replacement which we are entitled to under the consumer rights act but they are just not having any of it! their customer service is terrible and it sounds like from other threads on this forum they do not have any warrenty that is worth anything! we wish we had bought a more expensive travel system from a reputable brand now as we would have had any issues sorted! This is why their products are so cheap is because they dont honour any warrenty they might imply they have! PLEASE AVOID BABY TRAVEL LTD or their new trading name of BABY TRAVEL UK LTD

Had the same experience as the majority of people on here. An awful company, that sells poor quality products. The reports they produce, that apparently investigate damage, are a joke. No evidence is given to support their claims. They obviously have a quality issue with the amount of products that people on here are saying have broken, we can't all be misusing our purchases!!!

I wish I had looked on here or trust pilot before buying. I'm now investigating how we can claim our money back, there are a few protections offered if you paid by PayPal, card or I've just spotted this service //www.odrcontactpoint.uk, which is a government endorsed company that helps resolve issues when you can get no further with the 'customer service' team of a company.

I had the same experience with no resolution. The clip on the car seat became disassembled and the spring flew out. I was given instructions to reassemble it and asked to video myself assembling it. I am a fully trained p!affix moulding engineer and this pram has a design/manufacturing fault. The response from Baby Travel is dismissive, rude and they are Assholes. I have reported to Trading Standards, even got a case number. I have reported it to my credit card under section 75 with no resolution as Halifax want me to pay for a fullnindependant report to prove that it is indeed a load a CRAP. I think I have lost my money. The product is UNSAFE. The company are rogues that need to b shut down!!!!!

I safe or is it unsafe baby travel system.
Well what can I say , I can say a lot but in a nut shell what a pile of crap from a bunch of low life scumbags.
This travel system arrived with a crumpled hood , customer services said iron it ??
Securing clip on car seat that attaches to chasis fell apart on first use . I managed to find spring etc in the supermarket car park and I managed to assemble it my self. .only to have it do the same the next day .I contacted customer services only to be told I had assembled it incorrectly ??? Excuse me moron customer services person, the point here is it should of not fallen apart in the first place
This buggy /heap of junk has in the internet very similar looking twins . All badges with different brand names .
This is cheap imported Chinese junk. Badged up and flogged to unsuspecting parents . And I had to purchase another Ake travel system from a well known store and what a difference .
I realised how crap this I safe is. .and do not want my baby anywhere near it .
This company have no shame and no care about child safely so they earn the title scum .
Please don't go by the I safe web site reviews as they are all miraculously good ??
Go with this review . Research more .spend a tiny bit more. .and you won't be disappointed.
If this review stops at least one more purchase from this company. It's done its job

Hi all. I am new to this but was googling this company as also experiencing problems and came across this thread. Can I ask if peoples problems were resolved as feel I’m banging my head against a wall with them?
Bought the Isafe travel system and so far have been really pleased with it. After only 9 weeks of use there are faults, a clip snapped off the side that attaches Car seat to main frame and also the straps keep coming loose. I have sent videos and pictures (twice) but keep getting automated, unhelpful responses. I’m expected to ship the car seat back to them for inspection and repair if they find a manufacturing fault. I hace argued repeatedly that 1 I should not have to cover expensive shipping costs myself and 2 I NEED a working car seat as have daily school runs to do. So as it’s faulty I want a replacement. They are ignoring every point I raise and are just adamant that I ship it back. I cannot believe the attitude to an item that is such a safety issue ie straps coming loose when Baby strapped in. They are saying they have rules and regulations in place so I pointed out that surely the safety of a Baby is paramount and there are rules in place for safe car seats.
Did people manage to get their problems resolved?

I have to express my experience with the company as it has been the most Irritating and annoying event of my life. I placed an order for i-safe pram for my daughter this week and the payment went through my MasterCard. . I then received an email asking for a photo ID, my bank statement and utility bill for proof of address. I was completely shocked and phone the company and explained my card payment had already been accepted so why asking for the additional information. I spoke with the guy called Keith and told him that under the data protection there was no way that I was going to send those information. I asked the reason and he told me this was to confirm if I am resident in UK. But if my card had been accepted then why the fuss or if I was on holidays and decided to purchase a pram to take home with me! I asked to speak to the manager or supervisor. He categorically refused stating that they are in a meeting. I asked him if they could return my call after the meeting he stated he can't confirm if they will return my call. This guy would not listen and will talk over you as if he runs the company. He asked me to email my complaint. I told him there was point in doing that if not there would not be so many complaints already listed on here. He must be tearing all those complaints if not he would have been sacked by now!
So KEEP OUT and go elsewhere as this company will never change their attitude towards their customers.

I've heard similar negative about them, I stick with john Lewis, maybe not always the cheapest, but prices in clearance sale for perfect return product can be one third off, if anything goes wrong they will sort it, mostly without a headache.

Just wanted to say "thank you" to all the previous posters on this thread. I was just about to order with this company but did a last minute check of reviews and found this thread. Needless to say, I'll be buying from another company.

Sorry for all your bad experiences but your posts have meant this company has one less order!

This company really needs reporting and removing from Amazon. They are rude ad do not reply to emails. I had the pleasure of another phonecall to them today to discuss my broken twin buggy to be laughed at and called a joke and at the at the end of the call be told to F**k off. My twin buggy collapsed whilst my twins were in it. They told me it looks like i have broken it and i would have to pay for it to be couriered for them to look at. They advertise a longer warranty period than a year and then claim you have made that up when its stated on Amazon. They really are appalling and Tony is just a conman stealing peoples money for defective goods that do not last . Avoid and shame this place into bee investigated by trading standards and shut down!!!!

This company is a complete joke, Optimum brand is a faulty batch, yet they still are selling these for babies and toddlers.

I purchased a mea lux for my daughter, within 1 week the buckle broke, they suggested that I had forced this some how?? However 2 replacement buckles where sent. Then I brought the Lil friend design and withing 3 days the buckle broke again!!! Again replacement buckles where sent.

Then after 2 months the back rest went, I demanded to speak to a manager with regards to this, and they put me through to a guy called Tony, he suggested I had being pushing my husband around in it? How strange, avoid at all costs

Do not buy from Baby Travel Ltd!!!

I was extremely disappointed with my purchase and the customer service from this company.

I ordered a travel cot to be delivered in time for my holiday home to the UK from Hong Kong. Firstly the cot that was delivered was a return / second item. It was completely broken. On the box was written 'return forced,' so it was clearly a rejected item. It also contained the address of the person it had previously been delivered to which was extremely negligent.

The company agreed to send another cot. This one was also broken - the base would not click into place (incidentally this was also the problem with the first damaged cot). We sent the company a video of myself and my father trying to assembly the cot, in the correct manner and they then wanted us to send it back for 'inspection.' I paid £20 for delivery and the company initially insisted that I paid to return it. They only agreed to pick it up once I got my father involved.

We then received what the company called a 'report' saying that we'd broken the cot in assembly. Firstly, it was not a report - it was a one Line statement saying we'd broken it, with no evidence to suggest that. Secondly, there is no way we could have broken the cot in assembly!! Given that the first cot was also broken, it suggests a serious design fault. They also said that we'd not sent the mattress back. However it was agreed with the company that we wouldn't, as we assumed we would receive a new cot.

Do not buy from this company. The cots are poor quality and clearly break easily. They send out damaged and broken cots and then refuse to accept liability, rather they accuse the customer. This whole process has taken two months. If I had broken the cot there is no way I would have spent this much time and effort to get my money back.

I read the reviews and was a bit wary of using baby travel Ltd. I had to use them as I wanted a travel cot that was £10.00 cheaper than on any other site. I ordered the cot on Tuesday about 3pm and it was delivered at 1pm the next day. The travel cot is beautiful and my Daughter was very pleased that it came with a mattress. I would definitely shop there again.
