According to practical pushchairs. Can't decide whether to pre order now or see what other people think of the v3.

Hi, does anyone know if the v3 is compatible with the carrycot, I have a nearly 2year old and am due in dec but would prefer to have the newborn in a carrycot rather than just in the pushchair, thanks in advance xx

Hello ladies......I have the V2 and love love love it Smile
My DD has just grown out of the carrycot Hmm, the harness is big but on the smallest setting it fits fine.....I find if I use it with the insert that came with the buggy it fits better because of the positioning of the slots. Also the only issue I find with the break is it gets mucky but after a brush & WD40 its fine again Smile
I wouldn't change it for any other buggy now and I love the fact I don't need a 2nd buggy for shopping etc as the nipper is compact enough to cope with everything SmileSmileSmile

The Nipper seats are definitely better, and the Nipper drives better too.

Yes thought the duet seats looked shallow, will have to keep trying dd2 in them both and make last min decision, pleased about the carrycots on v3 double though, makes them very equal contenders! Thinking resale on the duet may be better though and I really will only need double for the winter and up to about 5 months, then will prob move onto phil and teds.

Reading with interest, dc3 not due until end yr but I think will need a double if only for a few months.....swing between the duet and nipper, nipper seats look smaller to me.....dd2 big and sits nice in duet, is like a tardis seat and feet went nice on footrest but looked a bit squashed in nipper seat and one leg had no footrest as it was triangle shape, she will only grow bigger next few months also! love look of it though and loved v1 nipper with first two dc due to its amazing easy push but they were closer in age than dd2 and dc3 will be......like p and t as good weight limits (I seem to produce hefty babies!... Dh takes the blame he is tall and broad shoulders), I am more broad of thigh and bum Grin
anyway I digress...anyone out there used duet with the carrycot? Whats it like size wise? Saw two duets in town today (no carrycots) should have been brave and quizzed the mums about their buggy choice! Next time.

I just received my V3 today Grin

Its wonderful! Carnival red looks very smart. I dont have any experience of previous Nippers, but here are a few things i really like:

covered mesh

there dont seem to be any of those pins that you pop in and out to either secure the pram or fold it. There are just two really easy black clasps.

narrow-fits through the doors in my house

a BEEautiful ride! Really. We took it for a test drive in the forest and its just wonderful, super light, excellent steering, smooth ride overall. My 15month old was very relaxed in it and she doesn't usually enjoy buggy rides.

The price is fantastic for what you get. I was comparing the BJCM GT Double and the Nipper. I bought from practicalpushchairs.com- great price and a free basket, along with bumper bar & raincover. You dont get any of that with the baby jogger.

Im super happy, hope the honeymoon lasts!

It also has a better mesh on it, so your kid won't be able to poke its little eyes through out the back and watch you when you want it to go to sleep.

Has anyone been able to compare the v2 and v3?
Is there any advantage in getting the v3 apart from the new colours?

Thanks"

It's a lot lighter and the brakes have been fixed. It weighs under 10kg

The issues I have with the V2 are the open mesh behind a sleeping child's head - but I wouldnt probably stress about it that much if your two are already 17 months old - I am sure they would have a hood or hat on in winter. The V3 has a covering flap for the mesh.
The huge harnesses are an issue too - but you can add on harnesses or clips across the chest. I dont know if the V3 harnesses are shorter - the photos I have seen make them seem long still but I dont know. If the V3 harnesses are shorter then this would be worth the extra £50 for me for safety peace of mind, especially given you can't easily see the children with the hood up.

Just make sure if you buy a V2 that it is a narrow V2 - not all V2's are narrow! Get a tape measure on it - you want a 72cms one, not a 77cms one because an older standard doorway is 76.3cms wide hence the older one may not fit in some places! Those 5cms make a HUGE difference!

Hi Tiggy

Thanksfor your answer, I fon't have a nipper yet, just debating whether to get a v2 or v3.
My 'babies' are 17 months and still nap, what would be the problem with the v2?
I suppose I should have asked is the v3 worth an extra £50, of shall I just get thd v2? (That I can find at £300 invl shopping basket? Smile). Thanks a lit

From what I can see the main changes are the fabrics - they are different, and the cover over the mesh at the rear of the seats. The harnesses still look HUGE which is an issue for me. They have changed the brake a little too which doesnt surprise after the issues with the V2 brakes. The new V3 will take one or two carrycots which is the biggest change, but it doesn't look like they have that all sorted out yet?

I dont really see any advantage assuming you have the narrower V2 unless you have a baby who naps, or you want to add a carrycot on. The new colours are pretty though.

Hi there am expecting dc3 in dec and dd2 will be nearly 3.5, lots lots of walking here for nursery/school for dd1 age 5. Was considering the mb duet but loved my v1 nipper with first two dc.....the v3 looks super tempting now I realised you can put carrycot on! Anyone know how the cot is for size and if suitable for night time sleeping? Will want use a carrycot as winter baby. Seen it has it's own raincover, handy so dd2 can hop in/out her seat but anyone know if the maxi cosi can go on instead of carrycot? Have emailed out n about so am hope for response.
The 72 cm width is very appealing as even at 77cm with v1 we managed quite easily. Also was easiest push buggy I ever owned! Love duet but worried heavier and wouldn't be easy to push with diff weights in.....

I ordered the mojito green from iRentStuff.co.uk and got a free double basket which is perfect for all the stuff I need for the twins! It was also cheaper than anywhere else! www.irentstuff.co.uk/view/out-n-about-nipper-double-v3

Has anyone found the single hood to be a problem? i.e toddler wants it up, baby needs it down..? Trying to compare BJCM GT Double and the new V3...

Wow, I got the Lagoon Blue too. Silly me thinking it was a Royal Blue but nevertheless it looks awesome! You guys should really get one.
