Anyone seen/used a baby trend sit n stand?

Hi there, me again!
I've just come across the Babytrend Sit n Stand pushchair. Has anyone ever used it? If so what's it like? Does it manoeuvre liken a pushchair or is it more trolley like? I'm anxious toddler will get impatient in a standard pushchair.

I need a pushchair for a newborn and 2 year old and need to use for a half hour walk, one way, to nursery.

I also saw the Obaby Safari Zoom but it looks really long. I can't afford to spend much over £400, that's a real maximum for me.

Ay opinions/tips?

Seriously the Sit'n'Stand is not a pushchair it's a mall stroller - something you pop in the boot of your car so when you need to go to your local shopping centre to run a quick errandyou have something that you can plunk baby in, toddler can walk or ride or stand. There's no frills or comfort just a workhorse but it doesn't matter as it's not being used very much. It is not designed as a walking out and about pushchair especially not for a new born.

Newborns have very fragile airways which need to be protect either by baby laying flat (or as close to as possible) or baby being upright in their carer's arms/sling. Lying semi-supine (as a baby does in a car seat) puts pressure on the airway, baby starts to experience oxygen desaturation (note - not might start but starts) and depending on how long, how young and how vulnerable the baby is (prem, ill health, under lying health issues, etc) or just plain bad luck baby can experience bradycardia and even ultimately death from positional asphyxiation. not a pleasant message of course but it's one that seems to be missing from the public eye.

Car seats are safety devices to transport babies in cars and to protect the child against accidents/sharp braking - not for sitting in at home, overnight sleeping, daytime sleeps, but for cars.

There are plenty of tandem pushchairs that will accomodate a newborn & a 2y on the market esp. given your upper limit of £400. Graco, Jane, Britax & Chicco make tandems with lie flat new born seats and toddler seats. Even if it's something 2nd hand you buy in the knowledge you will be selling on in 6m time - treat it as renting a pushchair, you may well get your money back or a large portion of it too.

Thanks for getting backto me truth sweet. I'm on a bit of a budget but checked out some of the brands you mentioned. Do you know anything about the britax b dual tandem? I was swaying towards that now....

I haven't used but it seems like a good option. It's selling for £399 is many places and you may even get a display model cheaper

Have seen a few on bay selling for £150-200 ish. All seem good condition.

I think TruthSweet actually has a B-Dual herself. Its a good mid price pushchair. I think the Oyster Max is better if thats an option though. The seats are better positions for the children.
