I have a Britax B Smart 3 for my 8 month old DS. I'm very happy with it, it has fitted the bill perfectly for what we needed up til now.

However, I'm going back to work part time soon and MIL will be looking after DS most of the time. I'm just a bit worried that the B Smart is going to be a bit heavy and cumbersome for her. Most of the time it's lovely and light to push and manoeuvre but, like any 3 wheeler I guess, it has it's wobbly moments. Plus both our houses are fairly small and quite tricky to get in and out with the pushchair.

So I was thinking of getting another pushchair, which we could also use for shopping trips and holidays where we don't need to be off roading. Requirements are....light and easy to push, stable, easy to fold, compact when folded, but NOT too flimsy!

I did loads of research into prams, 3 in 1s and travel systems when pregnant but never ventured into stroller territory so not sure what I'm looking at. I don't mind second hand if it's a pricier make.

Sorry this has gone a bit long winded! Basically am after something lighter/easier than the Bsmart but not rattly or flimsy! Oh, and I do NEED another one, this is not just an excuse. Oh no.

Thanks Tiggy, I could never work out the difference between them all. Ditto the Maclarens, but I'll have a look.
I don't think I want a super cheap one, it's got to be sturdy as DS seems to be turning into a bit of a chunk!

I like a Maclaren technoXT. I picked up a brand new one with foot muff for £95 from an ex catalogue shop. Alternatively what about one of those seriously cheap Argos type stroller?

The Cherry is probably the one I would choose for light and easy to push, easy to fold and compact folded (although it is 2 pieces, they do nest well).

Ooh yes, they are nice! Seem quite popular too so maybe a good chance of a second hand bargain?
Would any of the iCandys suit? ( cos I really wanted an apple jogger when I got mine but were way out of my price range! )
