BJCMD - Wheel Issues

I have an older BJCMD (circa 2009?) in red/black/cream.

I have had it about 5m and have just started to have problems with both rear wheels and one of the front ones.

The rear wheel tyres look like they have got a bit too big for the wheels so kind of flap around as the wheel revolves Confused This happened to my Loola Up after using a buggy board on it for about 2ys so Mothercare ordered me new wheels but I haven't used a buggy board and my two DDs that mainly use it only come to 26kg so it's not overloaded.

The front wheel keeps locking into fixed mode (little lever that switches between fixed/swivel drops down) so I try to turn and the pram just judders instead. Blinking annoying.

Any suggestions or is it new wheels all round? Can I even get new wheels in the UK or will it be an import job?

Got the wheels yesterday (Tuesday) just 4 days after I called Kooltrade!

Fantastic service.

Phone Kooltrade on Monday and ask :) They can only say no. I think it's just the fabrics that aren't covered.

can I hijack and ask if anyone knows whether the rubber on the handle can be replaced? mine has split into 2 and the giant anal side of me can't bear it :(

Oh just to add the pram was manf in 08/2010 - so it had been through two other owners very quickly before we bought it in January!

That's brilliant news. I love the Baby Joggers too and when I was told about the lifetime warranty I thought it was too good to be true. But you are the second person I now know of who has claimed with an older Baby Jogger. I think the service is fabulous :) Just to reiterate though, in case someone reads this in future, sometimes you have to wait for replacements. I was told yesterday that I have to wait until the end of August for a small item which was returned a couple of months ago. But if something is in stock then like you, the turn around time is quick :)

Now that is what I call service! Called up, explained the pram is 2nd hand and I don't know how old it is, the lady asked for the serial no./manf date and told me the wheels would come out free of charge (she even threw in a 2nd front wheel incase we have the same problem with the left one too!).

It's all going to be here with in 7 working days Shock

I'm am going to rave even more about Baby Joggers if the customer service is that fantastic that the warranty covers 2nd hand pushchairs (actually it's 3rd hand now).

Thanks Guildfordnanny - really appreciate it. I'll have a tinker with the front wheel to see if that works Smile

Give Kooltrade a call. I believe Baby Jogger products have a lifetime warranty on everything except fabrics. I believe they take the chassis number and organise parts for you. I ave certainly had wheels all be it for a newer pushchair but I was rushing to get the order in before my supposed years warranty was up when I was told there was no rush. However you may well have to wait some time - possibly months - for the new parts as they come from the US with the next shipment. Re the front wheel, I don't know if it helps but you need to fix / set to swivel with the wheels directly facing forwards. But you can mention this too.
