can someone tell me about the mpx

fallow on from houdini son.
how heavy is the mpx wiht a 21 monht old in- he is tall but thin.
what is the pushchiar comparable too?
how much boot space does it take up?
have had loola- is it similar? and chicco trio- didnt like either-flimsy, long, heavy etc.

i like the idea but its not right for where we live-unless there was a more compact version. am off to google wagons now!

if you really wanted to stick with the freedom harness then you could go for a pliko switch they can be folded with seat on or off and are compact a bit like the loola for folding size but easier to push and to get up curbs as you put your foot on the step at the back to help, they are parent facing as well

of course you could always start using a wagon instead my kids love their wagons (yes i am just as bad with wagons as i am with pushchairs :o )

it would have to be a big boot, there are lots of parent facing pushchairs out there look through ebay, if you see one you like, come back and ask there will always be someone on here who will prob have, had or know about it. i think what ever you go your little one will try and get out of it, although thinking about it i have had one pushchair my dd never climbed out of, don't know if it was because she could'nt or because it was too high but it was a stokke xplory, she always just sat there prob fear of heights :o

The MPX is quite easy too push with a larger child in as it has big(gish) swivel wheels that handle general day to day terrain quite well, it can be used from 6 months with the reversible seat unit which has to be taken off to fold AFAIK.

The only pushchair I can compare it to is the Silver Cross Linear which is fab except it is bigger than the MPX.

Because it folds in two pieces it is quite bulky but not overly so.

The freedom harness is great as long as you adjust it properly as it means that your child is safe but can still move around as he will only be attached at the base of seat rather than the back too.

If you want to stick with your current pushchair you could get a seat belt sleeve and fasten it over the straps when he is in so that he would have to undo that first or the 5 point plus system

and it weighs 13kg, the older mpx will weigh the same as they have not changed them for quite a few years.

the mpx is a flat fold where as the pliko is an umbrella fold, the mpx is bigger than the pliko

The MPX chassis weighs 6.3kg. I've read that the pushchair as a whole weighs 10.6kg but I think that's the current ones that look a little bit heavier to me. The Loola and Trio both weigh 11kg. The MPX seems similar to a Pliko but with narrower chassis bars. The Pliko was a bit long folded but didn't take up a big area really.

I personally prefer the freedom harness as it's the same as the original harness and reins set up...Mind you i rarely strap DD in so it wouldn't be an issue anyway infact DD would prefer the freedom harness given the choice.

Hi, besides the freedom harness they are very good, lovely big seat, large hood, large shopping basket, they are comparable to the silvercross freeway, they are heavy and bulky, but are easy and light to push. they are easy to fold just 2 buttons marked 1 and 2, and are much nicer than the loola even with the freedon harness :o,
