I went on kiddicare to order the package which included the double kit, cocoon and raincover.

Anyway I looked at the package seperate and with the dash with free double kit, then buying a seperate cocoon and seperate raincover it worked out cheaper than the main package deal, by quite a significant amount.

Just for anyone who is onterested in buying one.

I do agree with you though and I don't think I would have bought it had the gap been bigger, I am hopeful I will get a good 2 years out of the double, by then DS will be 3 and hopefully walking more. Also when out as a family i.e. two pushers we will use as single and take our other single, it is mainly for school run and my shopping alone outings.

Should say I never looked on kiddicare for other phil and teds, so this might be the same with others, check singular price before going with package deals as it sometimes is cheaper with other offers on.

Oh I wasn't having a go, I was just saying this wasn't me telling people to buy it as I can see there are issues with it, but my age gap is 11 months :$ and it suited us. It was just for those that had seen and tried and liked.

I went with my heart set on two others but changed my mind when I got there, so I wouldn't never advice someone to buy before they try.

Sorry if I sounded rude that wasn't my intention at all.

Yes it is just the Dash. I am fine with the Verve, vibe, explorer and classic. I haven't tried the Hammerhead. I once tried the Dash out in a group situation (with mums and dads of different heights) and almost everyone bashed their knees (some didn't). The poor baby in the back was being hit from behind with every stride.

Is it only the Dash your knees bang on Guildfordnanny? Is there a better P&T for tandem use and if so which one is it?

(sorry for hijack)

I understand that, and you may have none of the issues I had if your knees don't bang or your children aren't tall or are a small age gap etc. I just wanted to raise awareness because I have spoken to some disappointed mums in the past.

I looked at other models and I preferred this, but everyone is different and their needs are different. I wasn't trying to sell people the Dash, this was just advice for people who had already decided if that makes sense, I would never advice buying a pushchair without trying it out first.

That should have been fab as a single!

Just to say there are quite a few negatives with the Dash including the bar at the back of the doubles kit which is uncomfy for an older child when the doubles kit is in newborn mode on top, and also means the younger child reaches the top sooner than other models before it s uncomfy. The handlebar acts as a parking brake and needs folding down to do so and apparently you can hit a child on the head doing it. My biggest niggle is that whenever I have tried pushing one my knees bang into the doubles kit as I walk, and I know I am not the only one! There are other niggles too but those are the main ones. Whatever the money I would look at one of the other models if buying in tandem mode. Fab as angle though.
