Pushchairs
Any thoughts on the UPPAbaby Vista?

I am 27 weeks pregnant with my PFB and now starting to buggy spot in earnest. I?d like to get a travel system that will hopefully do us from birth to walking without the need for further pushchair purchases. The Bugaboo Chameleon is just too expensive to consider, but I am rather taken with the UPPAbaby Vista, which seems pretty comparable. Does anyone have the Vista and have opinions / experiences (positive or negative) to share? It?s a huge purchase so I want to get it right.

yes, i have one. it's been great! still slightly envious of the bugaboos (i think they look a bit nicer) but i keep remembering the pluses of the uppababy - MUCH bigger storage, more robust so has travelled well (once to US, once to Aus - both times as checked oversize baggage), good for tall people (no kicking of axels/wheels), folds really simply...DS is now 21 months and we have used it the whole time. We bought a McLaren a while ago as is better for buses and airports (once DS was too big for sling), but still use the uppababy mostly. #2 is now on the way and planning to use the uppababy for DS as normal and baby in sling, or switch out seat for bassinet if DS is walking or at nursery (another plus over the bugaboos as this can be done in mere seconds as they are different pieces). hope that helps?

Thanks LB, that's what I wanted to hear! I really like the huge basket and general feeling of robustness. And it is pretty light and easy to manoeuvre.
And I won?t be importing one ? there?s a lovely independent baby shop nearby who are the sole stockists in our area, so that?s where I?ll be buying from (and they are knocking 10% of RRP, which is even better!):)
