What made you proud in you DCs school report (that was NOT to do with academic achievement)?

Each year there is a thread here where people post the things they are most proud about in their children's reports, which has NOTHING to do with grades and academic achievement. It is always my favourite thread. We haven't had reports yet ( I am worried my DD won't have anything positive on a personal level because the teacher doesn't really know or understand her). So, I was wondering what you all had for those positive proud parent moments. Only rule is it can't be about academic achievement.

DS (Y2) had a comment about in groups he naturally takes the role of a leader and likes to help others with their learning, ensuring everyone succeeds.

DD ' she has been an absolute delight and flourishes with pride in her achievements'
DS ' a bubbly, energetic and cheerful member of the class'

DS's (Year 3) report said he was kind and empathetic.

DD's (Year 5) said her resilience will benefit her as she goes through life.

That he goes out of his way to make sure his classmates are ok and that it's a quality to treasure.

DD is yr2, struggles academically and only working towards expected level.
However, she is a wonderful, kind girl who can always be relied upon to set a good example to other pupils. Star

That DS (YrR) told the class about his trip to Australia and showed it to them on a map. DS has never been to Australia!
I also laughed as, apparently, he gets pleasure from all role
play situations but enjoys it more if he is the boss.

The very first line of his report was that my son 'has a heart of gold'. His academic stuff is low average but he'll find his level in life eventually. But he'll always have a heart of gold Smile

We have been through such a tough few years as a family starting with the death of dd2 two and a half years ago. Each and everytime another stressful life event happens my heart sinks a little more as I wonder how I can help the children come out of the other side of it.

To top it all off we had to move home and therefore school during this school year and I know how's he they miss their old lives.

Today each of my school aged dc's reports say how happy they are and how they inspire happiness in others. It is all I wanted to hear Smile

So proud of my late August born baby Smile

That he is a role model for exemplary behaviour on the carpet and also that his decision s in the playground have matured which means he is no longer the little sod he was in danger of becoming six months ago.

Before Feb half term the whole boisterous section of the class (13 boys and 2 girls) were marched, one by one, into the deputy head's room and interviewed about their roles in their behaviour choices. It seems to have had the right effect on Ds1 who has turned right around and even ended up on the star once or twice which is a big deal when you're six.

Maximum Effort in every category except RE, the little heathen. I am very proud he's 7 and who cares where he is up to academically; he is keen and tries his heart out.

She was in expected column for everything except for the imaginative one. That was exceeding. And boy do we know that, oh the amazing stories she invents and performs

DD14 - the kindest, most hardworking person in the class, shows a great deal of empathy and is to get on with her work independently.
DD16 - helpful, happy and cheerful, always helping those less able with a great deal of patience and tolerance, and a joy to have in the classroom. She will make a great teacher. (she wants to teach after uni)

Don't know how we have done it, but it makes me burst with pride.

"DS (year 1) is a very well-mannered, good humoured and even-tempered boy."
I'm glad he's well behaved somewhere - he's a bloody diva at home Grin

"DD (year 5) is a pocket-sized bundle of energy and enthusiasm."
She's a tiny wee slip of a thing, but is a tough cookie and fearless. Underestimate her at your peril!

Reading both reports was a pleasure - I really feel like the teachers know my children.

DD has found her teacher hard going at times this year and the feeling was more than mutual I think so was thrilled to get a good overall report but especially the comments from other teachers, one of whom said she was 'an absolute joy to teach' (and that's for her worst subject!).

Ds1 - 'a privilege to have taught'.
Ds2 - after 2 years of 'emerging' for everything, he had 2 or 3 boxes where he is at expected. I know he's made progress since last year but this new system is bloody depressing if he's always below the expected levels.

That DD (just finished Y6) has improved so much at running that she made it into the cross country team. To most, this would be lovely, but for a child that couldn't skip or hop four years ago when she entered juniors... it is immense.
She also made hockey team, netball team, and rounders teams (albeit B teams). She's done it through sheer force of will, hard work, and fantastic support from games staff.

These are all lovely to read - loved the comments about 3littlebadgers DC.

Not had this year's yet, but last summer her form tutor said she was "an absolutely lovely student" and her history teacher said she was "delightful" and "always willing to help both her teacher and fellow students" and that she was a "pleasure to teach."
