DS got into our first choice. So pleased :)

Ds got a place in our 1st choice school it's really hard to get into so I'm so pleased/ relieved!

DD2 has got a place at our first choice (extremely oversubscribed) school round the corner. So pleased!
Wasn't to worried this time around though as DD1 is already there. I was a nervous wreck last year. Good luck to those still waiting to hear!

Found out just now that dd2 got into the school of our choice. It was touch and go whether she'd get in due to us not being catholics (having two siblings already there and living a 3 minute walk away doesn't count). I'm so pleased. :o

We found out yesterday, we got our fourth choice which is our catchment school. It has a good ofsted but as far as I can tell this is generally for pastoral care and the academic side of things isn't as good. However at least he has a school and it isn't one in special measures. I really feel for the people who already know that whatever they put on the form they might not get anything at all, or so horrible that it's heartbreaking to send their DCs.

I could tell it was going to be a bumper application year locally because all the clothes in that size were always sold out! Plus we have high migration around here.

So going on wait list and trying to put positive spin on it all!

My DS didnt get into the school i wanted and to make things worse the school hes been offered a place at has an updated ofsted inspection which really isnt good.. really stressing now!

We've just moved and our local school has really bad rep and ofsted report so haven't named it as a choice so hope thats not allocated or I'll cry.

Our first choice is an outstanding school thats very hard to get into so I don't think we'll get that, I will be happy with second choice as its near nursery and most of his friends will go there and its a good school that is linked to our high school of choice, 3rd place is quite a distance away so not ideal but is close to family who I rely on for help when I work.

We find out on the 16th.

We find out by email on the 16th. I am quite anxious now so glad to see thread! Will be happy if DS gets one of our three choices but it's uncertain. No 1 is great but a very long shot. No 2 also very good, very close to us but small so fewer places. No 3 good but like the others oversubscribed. The next nearest school is Not Good At All School, and was undersubscribed last year when quite a few kids got allocated to it when they hadn't named it in their three choices. Really hoping that doesn't happen for us, but we're on a run of bad luck atm so this will either break it or ramp it up even more

Not until the end of the month here in south lanarkshire. Our catchment school is 30mins walk where as our placement request is less than 10. DS1 is already there so waiting to hear if ds2 gets a place

I am desperately hoping DS gets into our first choice school.

Have a good chance of doing so going on last year's intake and our proximity to school.

But you don't know until you receive the official notification do you...

Today here in Notts. I received an e mail at quarter past midnight. We got our second choice which I am really pleased about. I found it hard to choose between our first and second choice anyway.

I'm just relieved, I've been stressing all week!
