Jack and Jill as feeder for LEH

Moved to Hampton recently and looking into good prep schools for DD. Came across Jack and Jill and TPS, both are great on paper. TPS seems more wholesome but leaning into J&J as that could potentially help her for LEH. Any recent thoughts or experience on Jack and Jill ? Are they still a good feeder for LEH at year 3 ? Do they push DDs too much and not into anything fun ? Any idea roughly what percentage from J&J ends up in LEH these days ?

DD ended up in J&J, still a good pre-prep with focus on academics but after opening their own 7+ at Clarence House, their focus on LEH year 3 admission has clearly been deprioritised. Wish I had known this before.

@Schoolgatelassie would u know what Clarence prep house is like compared to tps etc? It's so tiny, I felt that it's an academic hothouse, suited to kids who love books only. How else can a child thrive in a 6bedroom house type of space?

My feeling exactly, it seems unashamedly academic. Some mums say Clarence house facilities are good enough though.

TPS does feel more holistic, there is a more relaxed, nurturing feeling about TPS.

@Schoolgatelassie do have a look at Staines prep then, if u liked tps. It kind of checked all the boxes for me. TPs seemed less academic to me.
Plz do share ur views on any other school u visit, we seem to be wanting the same things for our kid(s) :) will help me tremendously to have an independent opinion before we get committed to one school

@Schoolgatelassie one more question, u stated ur DD ended up in J&J. Any reason why you are looking to move her to another or you are not? Trying to wrap my beard around Clarence House (pros n cons)

Ye the issue is around Clarence House, not sure I want to the DD to go thorugh only academic rigour for prep. Initial thinking was exit to LEH but J&J seems to have stopped coaching focus on year 3 exit (obviously after starting Clarence House), so now looking for a better suited prep

@Schoolgatelassie have u visited Staines prep. I'm divided between the two, but I don't get the academic rigour that chp provides, anywhere else like TPS, Staines p, Newland etc. plus like in state (almost like I mean) I would still be blind to what they are studying or meant to remember at school while with chp it's a good study triangle between school child and parent
