Hey lovelies,
LONG POST INCOMING
I’m just looking for some advice! 29+4 with DCDA twins.

Went to mcu yesterday as I had what I thought were braxton hicks all of Saturday and into Sunday. By 6pm these contractions had started to get more regular and cause me some back pain.

Anyway fast forward to 8pm and we get put on the monitor, picks up very mild braxton hicks however twin 1’s heart rate would decelerate with every contraction. The midwife’s decided to insert a cannula and hang IV fluid to see if that would help, which it didn’t. I then was admitted to labour and delivery where they gave me the first lot of steroids and put me on a magnesium sulfate drip to help babies and to stop the then regular contractions I was having.

Since then I’ve been given some tablets to also prevent labour progressing. I’ve had two speculums and am not dilating as of yet, but every now and then we get a period of strong regular contractions. Baby girls heart rate is having sharp decels normally and some normal decels whilst some of the contractions are happening( doesn’t happen with every contraction)

Has this happened to anyone else and what was the outcome. I’m honestly petrified that they will have to deliver them😭

@CadyEastman They were born at 30+2 via emergency c-section due to baby girls decels🙄they are thriving now thankfully but I almost died during the c-section and ended up severely ill in ICU. On the mend now I think😂thankyou for checking up once again! X

Ah congratulations!! Make sure you have a chat with someone about the birth. I had an emcs at 35 weeks and a suspected heart attack.. My mind was whirling for weeks! Get those thoughts out there.
If you have time!!
Oh and well done!

Massive congratulations and I'm so pleased that they're doing so well FlowersFlowers

I agree with Gale, do talk to someone about the birth if you can.

Have you found the multiples section yet too?
