How's your Monday ladies?
I am Mumsnetting for five mins after
swimming lesson (wrestling other child poolside) soft play and Stay and Play. These kids want more! Need five mins to switch my brain off.
We are watching Nina and The Neurons - that girl clearly does her own hair and make up.

GP made a house call today and says Halo has responded well to the antibiotics though he it did take awhile for them to kick in. He wants to keep Halo on them for another week due to how long it took them to kick in.

Basically it's similar to the UK system with a few extra jabs thrown in! Wink

It's a little easier this time as I've already had experience with twins. It is chaos though! Grin

Glad she's feeling better. :)

Maybe weird isn't the right word but more, overwhelming, it seems there is follow ups for everything! They spent 2mo in UK and had no jabs, now then I was overwhelmed by them as I had to have the other DC checked/updated. I asked one of the Docs on the jabs and he linked me here - Cue confusion, luckily he explained it better on the next visit!!

Maybe it's just because the UK system seems simpler and easier to understand.

Hope your munchkin feels better tomorroe. Artie & Halo are currently having a screaming match. I think we need to work out new sleeping arrangments...

I hope the jabs go well. Halo isn't a people person either and hates others near him.

You've also just reminded me to write down when the DC jabs are due - Germany jabs are weird...

Morning all! Exciting morning here as we go on hols tomorrow...I'm making lists of all the things W may need in the hope I don't forget anything!
Will regards to weaning, W has been on puréed food for about 10 weeks now as he has reflux so was weaned early. He is only now showing interest in wanting to feed himself, so we sit him in the high chair whilst we eat and he has banana and cucumber to play with..

Morning all.
Well done Val hope your legs are ok today. Sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday Multiple.
Welcome Bankholiday I started blw the beginning of feb we do fruit purée and fingers in the morning around half 8 then again around half 3 unfortunately I can't advise on a sleepy baby ds is very alert, as total strangers never stop telling me but I gave him food when he seemed most interested in what I was doing. Now he tries to take mine out my hands constantly and likes to feed himself with a preloaded spoon.

Bankholidaybaby - My preemies are months away from BLW but hopefully some of the lovely ladies on here have some tips/advice for you.

Halo gave DH his first smile today, kinda miffed it wasn't me, though. I keep trying to get him to smile and he just gives me this "look". He's such a Vava's boy! :)

Hello, my boy was born at 33+1 in a very rapid and unexpected fashion! He's now 27 weeks old and doing very well.

Weaning to solids is proving to be challenging as, although he loves the purées I'm giving him at lunch time, he's rarely awake for more than 90 minutes at a time, and has unpredictable naps (sometimes very short, sometimes hours) so it's hard to get milk and solids into him before he wants to sleep, and if I wait until after he's napped, it could be 3pm when he has his lunch. So, I tend to do a bottle at 12.30-1pm, then wait 15 minutes, then purée 1.15-1.45pm, then nappy change and sleep.

I haven't tried breakfast yet, despite having been doing solids for three weeks now, as he doesn't wake up until 8.30am and by the time he's had a bottle and been washed and dressed, it's 9.45-10am and he wants to sleep again!

Does anyone else have a super-sleepy solid-eater?

Congratulations, Val, bloody brilliant! :) Have a nice long soak in the bath and ice your legs 15mins on and off - I used to do this after Ice Hockey matches and it seems to help, a good rub helps too. I hope walking is more bearable tomorrow for you!! :)

Good morning ladies, what a beautiful day!

How is everyone? Any plans?

DH & BiL have taken K, A and the boys along with BiL's kids to Hauptstadt Zoo so I am having a baby and me day. I plan to do nothing but lounge in front of the fire with duvets. The calm seems to be working as Halo is, for the first time ever, relaxed on his back hypnotized by the coloured lights on his play mat. Artie is army crawling all over the floor Grin

He's doing better, the pain relief is helping so much with feeding and it makes him sleepy. Bonus! Still very fussy and makes himself stressed when he tries to cry because it irritates his throat so now he constantly whimpers. We've moved Artie from the co-sleeper to the snuggle nest so Halo isn't disturbed during sleep.

Very scary. I've had to turn around the monitor on a night because I kept staring at, the sounds he makes when sleeping are horrible and it's like I'm constantly aware of every breath he takes, I've had to ask DH to swap sides of the bed because I know I'll never sleep by checking his monitors all the time.

I am so ready for RSV season to be over too! :)

Halo is now home from hospital! Grin He's on antibiotics for his chest and pain relief as he has literally cried himself raw and has lost his voice. When feeding he stresses and desats they've noticed it happend more when he swallows and must be causing him pain. He's gotta take the anti's for 10-14 days and the pain relief until no longer needed.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend! :)
