Hi All,

I am currently expecting my first child, due 18/09/20. I have left it really late to be ordering my pram and due to Covid the lead times are crazy.

I am looking at buying a Babystyle Oyster 3 bundle. I will be a single parent so have been looking at travel systems that include the carry cot, stroller and car seat just to make life that little bit easier.

TLDR: Has anyone had any experiences fitting the Oyster 3 into the boot of a Fiat 500 ( I have an Abarth 595) Also, what sort of experiences have you had with this pram?

Thanks in advance,
Lucy

I've just bought the oyster 3. I really like it althought not used it yet cause baby not due til october. But I have tried it in the back of my audi A3 and it fits in the boot but you do have to take one wheel off (which is easy albeit annoying). I dont know much about cars but would guess boot size is similar if not slightly bigger than fiat 500. In my csr youd be able to fit some shopping in next to the buggy in the boot, although I'm not convinced the pram part will fit easily.

Also-bought from John lewis and it came within a week so no issues with delays.

We've just bought this pram too! Ordered it yesterday from Little Angels Prams (they do a variety of colours and packages)and it will be arriving tomorrow! I imagine it will fit in the boot as when we tested it in the shop the lady said it was one of the best compact prams! X

I ordered the Oyster 3 on Saturday, we've got a Renault Clio and I was worried about it fitting but they allowed us to try it out and it fit with loads of space, I was really surprised, it's actually quite compact!

Ah thank you! This was my first post on a forum. So thank you all for your feedback. I went to a stockist of the pram on Saturday and it folder up really small, i just wanted to speak to people who have the pram and can let me know first hand.

Thanks again x

Thats quick delivery! I was looking at ordering it in the Berry although the stockist was telling me there was a 3 week lead time.

I also love it in the Peacock too!

I've found that the bundles are the same price everywhere so if you look around online you can always find the bundle you want in stock...

Yeah i have seen. I just feel like i would rather support the independent business who helped me choose it on Saturday.

As long as if its here in the next few weeks before she pops out thats the main thing.

I'm looking at the oyster 3 too, but I've been out off buying the bundle as the car seat is on Which's do not buy list. So I think I'll get the pram and carry cot, and a separate car seat!

Often you can have the car seat removed from the price of the bundle and an alternative added - that’s what we did.

The oyster was probably one of the most compact travel system we found (although we do have a reasonable size car so difficult to comment on whether it would fit in a Fiat 500).....

The car seat with the issues was the old style one, the new one currently being sold in the bundles is absolutely fine and has passed all safety tests...

@peonyrose87 - the original car seat (carapace) is on which’s do not buy list- so has been withdrawn, But the new one that comes as part of the bundle is called the capsule and has passed all safety tests.

Oh thanks! I searched the name of the one in the bundle and that's what came up, but thanks for clearing it up!

Hi,

I've just had my Oyster 3 pushchair delivered and am wondering if anyone can confirm how the seat should work correctly...

The seat locks into position in the upright and second position, but doesn't appear to lock when in the flat position (there is no clicking noise and it can be moved up easily). I spoke to the shop I bought it from today and they said this is normal as the seat is designed to be moved into the other positions with just one hand, but I'm still not sure if this is correct and can't find any detailed information/videos to demonstrate how it should work.

Any advice would be appreciated! :-)
