So with my ds labour was 5hours
From start to finish, I'm intrigued as to whether my next labour will be shorter or longer😁

What was everyone's experiences like?

Regarding how easy they were.

DD1 was 6lbs I only pushed for ten minutes but it was hard work and I burst loads of blood vessels in my face it was sorest possibly.

DD2, was 8lbs and she was by far the easiest.

DS, when I got to hospital and started pushing was really tough going as my waters were bulging and the mw wouldn't burst them so i had to push all 9lbs 9.5 oz past the bulging waters. It was loads of effort, but not as sore as my first.

Dd1 24 hours active labour, dd2 4 hours active labour and dd3 3.45 hours active labour. Had a few hours of really mild contractions before each labour really kicked in.

My first was 106 hours from first contraction to birth, back to back, but recorded established labour was 5 hours and from waters going 20 mins, 14 mins pushing. No. 2 due in November. Desperately hoping the early stages are a bit shorter this time!!!!

DD1 about 4 hours as was induced and had to get an EMCS.
DD2 started contractions at 9pm on Monday, was in established labour at 3am on Wednesday or so we are aware, may have been earlier. Gave birth 12.25 so 10 hours ish.

I was about 6 hours for my first, four for my second and 12 for my third: my contractions were rubbish - only lasting about 30 seconds so it seems like I needed twice as many. However: I needed no pain relief at all until I was 8cm. And then I managed (just!) with a tens and gas &hair.

First labour 13 hours , 10 hours established, fairly straightforward.
Second labour 12 days, two failed inductions, a billion sweeps and waters broken. Established about an hour! Hell.On.Earth!!

First labour was 18 hours, second was 9 but they were both at funny angles so I was pushing for a very long time

I'm going to be obsessing over spinning babies by October and fingers crossed this one comes alot quicker- or at least requires less pushing!

Dc1- 24 hours from waters breaking (contractions shortly after) to giving birth.

DC2- almost 3 days from first contraction to giving birth. This one was back to back though.

The actual pushing was significantly easier and shorter the second time round. 2 pushes and out. I'm not sure what that says about my pelvic floor Blush

Second was 5 hours total, third was 3 hours total and last was 4 hours total. I was told to expect them to be shorter each time. Didn't happen.
