I am 9 weeks with my first baby and was just wondering when your belly started to show with your first pregnancies?

Thanks in advance!

I could tell from about 14-17 weeks but dressed and out and about it was about 19 weeks before anyone noticed... I was surprised at how long I took to show!

I was a size 10 before and 5'6 so pretty averge and I started showing and was wearing maternity jeans at about 9 weeks! I had definite little bump and people at work commented very early on. I'm not 27 weeks and pretty big but not massive. I was shocked to show so early to be honest.

I could see a bump around 14 or 15 weeks; it was noticeable to family and close friends by about 20 weeks, but it's still not obvious to strangers now at 25 weeks.

Didnt have any notable bump until about 28 weeks (then one appeared overnight!) I looked just a bit chubby until just before 8 months but still fit into all my normal clothes and then have actually looked pregnant and needed to swap to maternity stuff since then.

Very late -around 28 weeks. Long body and strong stomach muscles (said my midwife anyway) were the reason! Then suddenly popped around 30

DD it was 20 weeks. This time I'm only 10+5 and look about six months pregnant. Hmm

I was about 20 weeks when I looked in the mirror and thought "definitely bump" rather than bloat from all the bread I was eating!

Well, I must look pregnant. One of the mums at work (teacher) rumbled me and I've barely been in the playground! The staff knew, but it spread like wildfire round the playground this afternoon Grin

I'm 19 weeks and when I got on the bus for work yesterday some guy offered me his seat, I didn't think I looked that big as I'm not in maternity clothes yet but just comfy stretchy dresses etc

I've been in my 'fat trousers' since about 10 weeks. I couldn't stand anything right around my stomach at first, made me feel really sick, I also inflated like a balloon. Then as the bloating went down the bump came up. Now at 20 weeks there's no denying it. I'm surprised as it's my first, but I was a size 10/12 before I got pg and I've always shown any large meal on my stomach. After my evening meal I'm massive. I love it Smile

About 13weeks close family and friends thought I looked rounder, but 19weeks (now) I'm popping buttons off once too big trousers, need to wear leggings and long tunics from now on! Haha

I'm only 7 weeks with DC#2 and yesterday my work trousers popped undone when I sat down. I know it is only bloating, but I do look like I have a little belly bump because the rest of me is quite slim.

In my first pregnancy I was starving the whole time and couldn't stop eating, so and had put on quite a bit of weight by the end of the first trimester, but I didn't really start showing until about 17-18 weeks.

I'm hoping the bloating will subside. I'm less hungry this time so maybe I wont put on as much weight.

I didn't show really with DC1, I went up a clothes size at about 8months but didn't look pregnant just a bit fatter. No one guessed and I know at least on person on finding out I'd had a baby cried because they assume he must have been very premature and ill.

I'm 20 weeks with DC2 and have gone up a clthes size (earlier this time) but again I don't look pregnant.

Maybe its something to do with my natural body shape!

I'm 16 wks now and look curved and rounded around the belly region in tight clothes, like leggings etc. but could still prob hide it if I want to. I've been feeling really chubby lately so its nice to glance in the mirror and think gosh I look preg rather than I look fat.

Im a couple of days off 26 weeks now, and can still get away with not looking pregnant just fatter when I am sat down, or wearing clothes that skim over my bump. It's bloody annoying though, I want to look pregnant at 6 months FGS and not like I've spent the summer holidays gorging on KFC and Haribo, which is entirely true but still... Hmm

I was so bloated from 5 weeks. I was paranoid that someone would notice. Now at nine weeks I'm not as bloated but I can still tell-belly looks fatter. My SIL (who doesn't know) goes yesterday "you look really slim". She's one of those "oh I'm so fat" people and I was internally laughing cos how can I look slim? Belly looks pre-menstrual!

I was really early , 10 weeks , could be the fact I am only 5,1 and pretty small ? Interesting to see all the answers - so in short it really varies per person Smile

From about 14 weeks! Was slim & very active. Now at 23 weeks I feel like my bum is almost as big as my bump! Feel so large & hippo like & like a poor version of myself. Plus people lose all tact when you're pregnant - I've been called huge & massive this week Shock Can't complain, know it will all be worth it in the end Smile

I started showing at around 8 weeks and by 12 I had people asking me me when I was due. By 16 weeks I was massive and by 38 I looked daft. I'm only 4'10 though and it was twins so guess it was the reason.

Peoples faces when they asked when I was due and I said june (as it was xmas when I was asked).
