Hi,

Very new to this!

I am currently 5 weeks and one day pregnant, I have no morning sickness and period like pains now and then, very worried as I had a missed misscarrige 2 months ago, had morning sickness with first child and had a healthy pregnancy.

Is there something wrong?Sad

Sam x

Well no baby for me I'm afraid. Scan showed an empty womb. Must have lost it in the bleed two weeks ago. Lots of luck and love to the rest of you ladies. I will toast you with the wine I plan to have tonight. TTFN pregnancy boards and back to AIBU!!

I'm really nervous actually, Samantha. Because of my big bleed two weeks ago I have no idea what to expect!!

Lady, how far along are you?

I thought you were the 10th. Mine is 10.15 on Friday. FX all okay. I know I'm only 7&1/2 wks but I already have a rounded belly. We do bloat quick in my family though. I'm so big DP is questioning our dates. All symptoms still present other than the allergies, thank goodness.

Wow!! 9 days after KitKat. Yes I'm feeling good to but boobs are agony. Had to borrow DM's V pillow to put between them. I'm so attractive right now. Grin

Bored and antsy. Early nesting and impatient because I want to continue to decorate but wary of bringing on another bleed. Tried to delegate but I'm not really getting anywhere. Grin

Fingers crossed - I had similar pain last week although no spotting and at this point the tests were still coming back negative and in fact only just got a +ve result yesterday - 9 days from when my period was due.

I've had some cramping and crazy sensations in my tummy but no sickness other than a couple of very brief waves of nausea, I'm not tired - in fact I feel really good, my boobs aren't sore or swollen...I'm hoping that all the more unpleasant symptoms stay away!

How are you today, Samantha?

No worries- In my first preg I was sick everyday, had sore boobs etc etc. in this preg, a bit sick between 6 and 8 weeks, then absolutely nothing. I've never even has sore boobs! I honestly thought there wasn't going to be a goo outcome at the scan. But...healthy baby! Every preg is different. Miscarriges happen in the minority of cases, even though we worry constantly!

Samantha, don't panic! Mine come and go. When I MC I had a lot of bleeding before my symptoms faded so the fact you're not bleeding is good.

Can you call your local EPAC tomorrow? FX for you but they do come and go. It worries me too.

NO NO NO NO! The threads are ongoing. Anyone can join. We have newly pg ladies and some ready to pop. One has just had twins! The support is overwhelming. Everyone knows exactly how you feel and you can worry away to your hearts content with everyone else. Im on the March Antenatal thread too but the PG after MC Thread is where I feel most at home. Saggy I have seen those but they seem so established. Felt a bit intrusive to barge on in. Grin

Hope you do something with them, Wannabe. Smile

Samantha and anyone else in this sad pg after mc situation, goto the Pregnancy thread titles list and look for a thread with 'Posifrickentivity' in the title. Its a thread specifically for those of us in this situation. I can highly recommend it. Dozens of people in different stages of PG who have been through the same thing. I absolutely adore them all!

Hi Sam

They did check my cervix and said it was definitely closed which was a huge relief. The Doctor I saw was lovely, she was so reassuring.

fackinell - I'm sorry to hear about your previous experiences, it sounds like you had a really difficult time. I suppose it makes sense to wait for the scan now you have explained what the midwife said, the last thing you want is unnecessary worry.

In terms of my username, I'm a wannabe and not an actual writer - it's all I have wanted to do since I was young. I have wrote two novels but purely just for my own enjoyment Smile

Hi Writer (I am one too Grin what are you writing about?) glad all was ok with baby!! My MW says there will be nothing to see. My last one died at 5-6wks and there was only a tiny blob on the screen and the foetal pole. I guess she doesn't want to panic me and at 8wks there should be a heart beat. If there's not she can at least say for sure.

My cervix was open on my second visit (last baby) I had passed the embryo at home already so knew it was over. It looked so strange, like a chrysalis. I was so confused at the time that I just flushed it. MW wanted it to investigate but it was gone already.
