Hi all, I’ve been potty training for about 4 weeks. My daughter is now 2y5m. I’ve clearly messed up at some point as my daughter isn’t prompting when she wants to go. This is resulting in me asking her every hour if she wants to go, and often she agrees to go at 2 hour mark. So I don’t push it and at 2 hr mark ask and she usually agrees before that it’s a very strong no and becoming annoyed at me asking.
this is resulting in some accidents but I don’t know how to help her realise her full bladder. Poos she is fine and goes to the toilet fine.
im wondering if I should just stop asking? Is this unhelpful?
I should add we didn’t follow the oh crap method mostly because my daughter was very uncomfortable being naked or just bottom half naked so we did knickers and a dress no tights and even then she was asking me for tights! So I ended up doing a method of taking her to the toilet at regular intervals to get her used to the sensation. Is that where I messed up?
feeling really lost with it!
we do nappy for naps and bedtime (both nappies always have wee in them) her nap is 2 hours long. Night sleeps 12 hours and through the night.
