Poo success story!

Just thought I'd post, having posted many times over the past 18 months about dd1's poo issues. Hopefully we can give hope to others in despair over their dc ever training!

Dd1 was trained for wees just after turning 2. She was quickly happy to go when out & about on toilets, all great, since dd2 was due. However, she continued to poo in her pants EVERY DAY from then until the past couple of weeks (18 months in total). I cannot tell you how this has driven me around the bend. I must have washed hundreds of pooey pants in that time (rarely threw any away, otherwise we'd have spent a fortune on pants!), and we're talking many times per day, when she would do small bits (sorry!). On very rare occasions, we had success, but she would go straight back to accidents. She wouldn't even admit to needing to go, or admit to having an accident. I became used to the little parcel of pooey clothes when collecting her from nursery! We'd tried reward charts, bribery etc, nothing worked.

Anyway, finally in the past couple of weeks she's cracked it! Will take herself straight to the toilet when she needs to go, no fuss. I can't quite believe it! I can't say anything in particular changed, but crossing everything this is it now. I never believed she would ever get it!

Now just praying we don't have this with dd2 when the time comes!

Fingers crossed for you! I suppose they all get there eventually, but I was having visions of it still going on in reception next year, which could have been difficult. I have no idea what changed for us, just hoping this really is it now!

Ah Congrats! It's made me think that one day my DS who is 3 will eventually get it and give me the same shock! No more washing, well less, for you!
