Hi! My little boy is 2 weeks 3 days old and I feel like my hormones are going crazy. I'm sad, happy, angry, upset, foggy then clear when I cry etc. How long can I expect my hormones to be like this? It's affecting me lots - pipe with lack of sleep I feel awful. I'm scared I'm bordering on PND territory as I thought baby blues were only supposed to last a week or so?! My hormones just feel wild!

Kidareok feel for you cuddles your way! I have a 5 week baby I feel exactly the same down most of the day struggle to get out of bed. Sleep deprived I have good days and bad days 3 children and homeschooling lockdown doesn’t help! I’ve spoken to my health visitor just waiting for them to get back to me. I’m hoping things get easier when my baby starts sleeping through. Speak to your health visitor and try and get all the help you can Xxx

Speak to your GP or health visitor. A lot gets blamed on ‘hormones’ and whilst most cases is is and just adjusting sometimes it can be a bit more.

I felt like an alien for about 9 months after dd2, over emotional or feeling not in this planet, looking back I probably had PND and I wish I’d have spoken about it to my health visitor or friends and family as I think it would have made a difference if I’d have been able to talk through how I was feeling.

Speak to your health visitor about how you're feeling, everyone told me days two through five would be the worst but I cried a lot from week two for a good week and have been fine since, I think everyone is different though. Just don't struggle on alone. X
