Hello Silver! Glad to hear your J is doing well. My J is too.

He isn't so big as your J though, but still on 91st centile I think. I've booked him in to get weighed next week out of interest (and as he hasn't been since January).

The letting go with both hands is coming on apace and can now be done deliberately, but still not for long - 10 seconds is his personal best so far. Independent walking seems a fair way off, he would rather crawl as he gets there faster than waiting for me to hold his hand.

I will try to remember to pop in here and say hello more often.

Hello!!!!!
This is really confusing not seeing your faces next to your posts.
Silver, you could always do a dummy fb profile if you don't want us to know who you are. Just let Dimly win just in my links know x

What happened there????? That should be dinkystinky!!!!

Hi Silver and anyone else!! Come to Facebook Silver!!! I'm afraid we must just all find it easier to post on there. It's a pretty active group. R is now walking, not talking so much and I've finally stopped boring the fbook group with daily pity-me posts about her terrible sleep as it has finally improved!

Maybe its something to do with the initial J... Jackson was a reluctant bottle feeder and decided to go on bottle strike entirely the week I went back to work in January - it was not a fun time! But on the plus side, his eating of solids went up, his reflux disappeared, and he is now proficient at drinking from a sippy cup (as your J will be too in no time at all) and will take some formula from a cup if I'm not around so he knows theres no chance of the straight from the source stuff.Well done to your J on walking and well done to you on bfing such a big little one for so long!

My J snt walking yet - he is a v lazy wee lad who only started crawling at 11 months, but is pulling up to stand all the time (mostly so he can use the nearest person's upper thigh as a teething toy - its like having a puppy in the house!) and very cute.

He makes us all laugh lots and lots. He is much more mobile in water than land (which is handy as his baby speak sounds rather like a dolphin) - am hoping he's the next Michael Phelps (his feet are big enough!) so DH and I can retire early...

You could join FB and just come post in our group which is a closed group if you feel like it - but will tell all the others you say hi and point them in this direction to say hi back

Thanks Dinky. J is such a big boy now (off the scales). He refused the bottle though and im almost giving up and I have started using a cup for water. He is now walking properly. How is your J?

Yes I miss all the ladies but I'm not on facebook. Maybe I need to join. Miss all the chat we used to have. Send my regards to all and remind them to pop in to say hello.

Checking in and bumping the thread as we hit birthday time.

Anyone still here? Cheese, Silver, Vinegar, Thinking? How are you all?

Bumping this thread as the early arrival birthdays are starting to arrive thick and fast - and it would be lovely to see anyone who has stayed on MN on here as a first birthday catch up.

J is adorable - he has 2 (and a half) teeth, a dimple in one cheek and a sweet nature. He is pretty cautious and not into crawling (wants to do it but goes backwards and gets stuck under the sofa) but still loves his jumperoo and bashing the hell out of any toys (age appropriate or not) that come anywhere near him. His two big brothers adore him (DS1 even deigns to read to him occasionally - the highest accolade) and we couldn't imagine life without him (or our regular 5.30 starts)... His reflux has totally gone and he loves fruit and veg, likes some fish, not much of a fan of meat. And still wont take a blinking bottle.

Hi ladies! Sorry FB lurker too. Actually haven't been on MN in fear I'm doing it all wrong lol

Tilly eight months on the 25th. Crawling, standing holding on to everything, falling loads. She's passed out on me at the moment so figured logging in now was a good time.

Last three weeks has been rough. Colds, tummy bugs, teething, wanting mummy all the time but it's all still amazing finally being a mum.

Afraid we all got very lazy, lurking on FB!!! Took me ages to track this one down even!!! Caspian 7 months and three days today...still considering food, and crawling. Rolls, but then gets stuck!

We're here! 7 months and 2 days. J is a Smiley little charmer, except when he'd rather stay up and play than go to bed.

He's growing again and is wearing clothes from 3-6 to 12-18 depending on item and brand!

Food is starting to go in, instead of just being spread about. Or rather, as well as being spread about. No sign of any teeth though.
