Happy new year SilveryMoon and Rosie - sounds like you had lovely christmases and nice chilled new years. I was in bed by 10 last night - though J v kindly woke me just after midnight to see in the new year Grin

Berlin was fab thanks SilveryMoon - the boys loved it, J was brilliant and we came back feeling v christmassy. Unfortunately DH and all 3 boys then came down with horrible colds, and J started not sleeping, so xmas has been abit sleep deprived this year but hey ho, onwards and upwards. My resolution this year is to shout less and to lose a stone - both hopefully achievable.

Still cant believe our little ones are nearly 5 - Danny was writing his own thank you cards for his xmas presents this week! So grown up!

We had a lovely Christmas, dp was off work for the first time ever so we stayed at home and went to my mums for dinner int he afternoon. My dad and his partner came too so we had a lovely time there. The boys were spoilt rotten!
I haven't made any resolutions, never do.

Happy New Year :) I can't believe our babies are nearly 5 ( and that we have had more along the way ).

I love watching them grow but it makes me kind of melancholy as my eldest girl is 22 this year and it seems like yesterday that she was 5 too.

Did you have nice Christmases? We had a very quiet one, DH had some time off for the 1st time in two years so that was lovely. After DS2 was born last year he only had one day off and it was a big rubbish this time last year.

Any New Years resolutions? I am going to try the usual, lose weight and save some money - both I am abysmal at but every year I try!

Hi Happy New Year All Grin
Dinky How was the trip to Berlin?

We had a quiet one yesterday, Dp was working last night so me and the boys just chilled out on the sofa. Didn't see midnight, but rarely do.
Just having a nice warm pj day today. Lovely.
Hope everyone is well and had a nice night. x

Hi SM - we have our tree up,carols playing and a trip to Santa today and to our Xmas play tomorrow. Also off to Berlin on Saturday for a long weekend with my boys - can't wait (though due an unfortunate incident with a metal gate yesterday I'm partly crippled which should make Berlin interesting to get around!)

Danny had his nativity play this week. He was a donkey in a costume a bit too small for him! V cute though!

So, December is upon us. Again Wink The tree went up here this morning, the boys have their advent calenders and are getting very excited. I've started the shopping, amazon has given my debit card a battering and the only thing I haven't done that I wanted to at this stage is have the elf on the shelf thing.
Always next year.
How is everyone? All getting ready? Organised? Excited?

Hi dinky
Have a great time in Dorset. We've got a bit on this week, as fancy-dress birthday party tomorrow, J has a friend round tuesday, he's going there wednesday, off to watch the fireworks thursday eve and a fancy-dress disco friday.

Not sure - I keep swinging by every so often to see if anyone been on but it looks like you and me are the only ones on here. Hope you're enjoying half term. We are in Dorset for a few days, back at the hotel we stayed at in June when I was pregnant with J - he's currently fast asleep on me stranding me in the lounge!

Thanks SM. Its a good thing ds3 is cute as he is killing me with the sleep deprivation!

So pleased L is loving school and things gave turned a corner with J too. Ds1 and ds2 are still getting used to their new school - am giving it till October half term and if they are still not happy dh and I are going to have to talk about what to do next!

Hi.
dinky just seen the pic of ds3 on fb, very very cute!
How are all the fab febber's getting on at school? Luke is loving it and doing brilliantly! We have also seen a huge change in ds1 this year after a horrendous year last year, so all happy here.
Very busy round here at the moment. Work is hectic and I have just started studying with the ou. Working towards a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies, so is literally non stop here.
Hope everyone is well Grin

Hi - I think I can quote your own phrase back at you and send positive vibes 'this too shall pass'!

It's tough changing schools and I suppose the routine will take time to get used to. My two are both shattered so I've decided not to do so many extra curricular activities for at least this half of term, and not race around too much at the weekend!

Do you have to do the drop off in the morning?

It must be nice to have all day with ds3...hope the reflux subsides soon.

Hi Blueskymum - nice to see you on. School is OK - both ds1 and Danny started at a new school a drive away from our house (their last school/nursery was literally round the corner!) So its taken a while for Danny to settle in - he's missing his old school, friends and 2 and a half hour days at nursery (he went straight into 8.40-3.40 days).

Ds3 is a cutie and definitely completes our family. Danny is adorable with him. He's got reflux and not the biggest fan of sleep so am abit sleep deprived but otherwise all good.

Hi, was just thinking the same!

How did the first day of school go for everyone? Can't believe they're this age! I got a 'bye mummy' without a backward glance......he doesn't need me anymore!

How is baby no.3? Hope you're not too tired and that you are enjoying maternity leave.

Hoping we've got window seats and that it's not too busy. I didn't have to pay for Luke because he's under 5 which means we've only got 2 seats.......
Glad to hear you had a good day at the festival

was that Rufus Swampy?

Spent the day at the lollibop festival in the old Olympic park today - kids (including J) loved it but have only just managed to persuade J its time for bed!

If your kids are like mine SM, they'll be insanely excited about the holiday/novelty of the train journey which should keep them busy for the first 2 hours!!

She's really lovely - and it felt amazingly normal to meet and hang out.
