Season of Camouflage

The Yurt moves its direction and begins to dance its riot of autumnal colour. All these colours bring me vision from within the tree , its changes and I intent this out into the world.

I send a message to my friends of the Yurt, a message that are fleeting like sunlight in a bottle. But when swallowed and stored, lift the spirit and strengthen us for the rain and cold that are soon to come.

The yurt is yearning for companions as the first frosts set in and the tress shed their bautiful leaves. It sits quietly waiting in the glade surrounded by old oak and chestnut trees starting to reveal the beauty of their branches. In the mornings spiders weave magical dew laden webs around the yurt clothing it in fairy gassamer and sparkling skeins of silk for the first shafts of sun to dance with.

Rest here paps and enjoy your thistledown. Today I am busy preparing the yurt for Samhain and baking many delicious cakes and pumpkins ready for tomorrow. the smell will probably drift towards you in your sleep. The children are gathering wood for a big fire and the fireflies are practicing ready for their annual end of summer dance and display of acrobatics.

I need the Yurt today, in fact more like my thistledown Bong tree where I will sleep like a finally satisfied Princess of the Pea with nothing to wake me and strong visionary dreams which will make me awake vibrant and ready for the day.

All had yucky colds last week and with complete sleep exhaustion and dd huge no. 3 birthday I am Kaput!

I am not going paps. Sorry but have friends coming to stay here.

We have some strange karma going on as my kids were eating gingerbread men yesterday and talking about making them. Am making samhain cookies though now and special pumpkin cakes. Starting to decorate the yurt as well. The spiders are doing an excellent job for us and every morning the dew makes the webs look more and more splendid, lacy and intricate.

Do I need to come to the MN party on the 17th for a Paps hit Glitter??? Encourage me... go on

My little family are off to visit the gingerbread men this morning - we will run around and around, bake and eat!

Then I will go to visit an ancient round stone - it is a wise sage which brings comfort and counsel which I am in need of at this time.

Paps you have been missed! I even visited some old friends to talk of you. A house full of visitors sounds very good and then a silent glade or two to refresh yourself.

I am preparing for a party on the 31st with full honours for seasonal recipes here and in rl.

I be back! Did you notice my absence in the Yurt, or did you all think I was simply taking on shades of Autumn and being minimal!!

Have had a house full of family (sister and cousin with her boyfriend) which has been fantastic. They all loved my computer so much that I had little time for MN and I did want to devote my time to them.

But now I wander back to the Yurt which is quiet. All I can hear are acorns and leaves falling. The silence is seductive, so alluring that I wander into the forest to hear better the music it makes. I lie my ear to the ground to listen to the secrets that this autumn has to offer. The ground is cool and scented, it makes me sleepy. I will find a cosy place and idle away afew hours in commune with the forest.

Hello after a weekend of fraught festivity visiting my new niece I am now relaxing with my youngest dd who is off school today in the forest. We are blackberry picking and nut gathering and making acorn houses for the fairy folk. This morning we gathered spun webs from the bushes and made fairy clothing for the winter.

Hi all and so glad to see you so relaxed Glitter

I have finally surfaced from my slumber under the oak trees and am rejuvinated. The full moon has cleared the air allowing the purity of the rainbows' light and the children's laughter to flow; swirling around the Yurt and lifting it's vibration.

I am soaring in the clear blue skies and merging with the wind. I see the world sparkling below; all it's waters pearlescant and free of murkiness. I guide the Yurt children, from my vantage point, to the best fruits of the forest. Later we will make berry tarts and mushroom soup for us all and I will visit the hot pools and sprinkle mint and chammomile leaves in it's waters with my LO to ease his cold and sore skin.

happy weekend all

Today I have watched the children playing in the afternoon under the little waterfall that goes into the lake. Rainbows danced around their heads and the sound of their singing and laughing rang through the air mixing with the birsing and the splash of the water. I lay on a hammock between two oak trees watching and dreaming and laughing at their happiness.

Thank you Gothicmama and perhaps tonight I will curl up on a huge purple velvet sofa in the library with a book and a Jo Malone candle smelling of lime blossom.

right back at you paps my old mate!

Am having a lovely sunny day today. The sky is blue and the air has a whiff of smoke from bonfires or dead leaves as the forest starts to unburden itself of the old and to pare down to its naked self via a last blast of colour and warmth. It says to us this is who I am and I am proud!

I have been away from this place for too long speaking wiht the merpeople and diving in the waters off the lake. I have been for long underwater swims in the sea fronds watching seals play and fish swim lazily by. For a long time I have been rpessed down by the weight of water but now I am above the sea again and smell the fresh breezes and explore the shore looking fro my friend paps and her babies and gothicmama reading a book in her hand as she wanders along the shore.

The energy is strong tonight as the moon is full and the great snow owl is hooting around the forest. I am resting in a downy nest amidst the trees and watching the stars glittering from afar. the lake glitters too and the whole world seems like a glittery haven sparkling and shimmering with intense silver rays sent out from the energy of the world spirit.

any thoughts or images you have just start describing them.

I am sitting half way up a rock face, journeying in spirit atm! In the distance I see Stephanieplum soaring with her eagle amongst the clouds.

My navel cords are moving out into the cosmos connecting with the universal energy we share.

This thread trying2begood is I suppose about improvised creative visualisation. You are creating the images rather than taking them from books. Of course ideas from books are good and can be made personal too.

Don´t know either of those authors but checked out their websites. You are welcome to post here if you want to

Hi trying2begood! Sounds interesting and welcome.

I am happy today speakign with my golden eagle how has arranged that I can fly with him through the mountains spying on small mice and voles and watching the world from on high as we circle on the wind. From here everything looks so small but it is a noisy place with the wind howling in my ears and the sun beating down on my wings.

Hello new to all this, can you tell me more? I have been reading Shakti Gawain and Lynn Grabhorn lately, two very different characters on the same subject, and am very interested in the meditation and creative visualisation sides.

Oh Paps that is wonderful and my energy is healing and clearing my soul. I went down on my rope into the mist and found a pool silent and clear with deep channels running away from it down into the valley. The mist hung about the trees in ropes and swirls beads of pearl and droplets so big they were like christmas baubles. Spiders had woven fantastic webs around the treest which were magical and complex. I bathed in the pool and soaked off the toxins form the world and emerged clean and re born to continue to follow the water down the valley and back to the forest. I watched the water bursting and brimming with life as it became a waterfall and then calming and falling as trickles into the valley floor.

After a marvellous breakfast in the Library, this morning my guide the Tiger took me through the forest to the mountains. There the Princess of Swords bade us welcome and we climbed higher and higher until the swirling clouds enveloped us and bore us forwards.

The trees were heavy with moss, their shades of autumn making the air sweet with slow decay. It was quiet, long forgotten place, hidden from the ways of the Human.

Finally we left the clouds and the trees to arrive to a small house where no one lives, it sits on a rocky cliff that juts its craggy peak into the sky. Many ropes hang from the cliff face and disappear down into the shifting mists.

After resting in the house today, tomorrow we will go by rope down in the mists to find the sacred sites of energy that have been carved by Shamans many many moons ago.

We will sit and travel in these niches in spirit until our cords are stronger and resonant.

YUmmy food Iris! The chilly pool sounds good but am feeling in need of those last rays of sun so out on the yurts magical sun deck and lying in bliss.

The children are playing in a stream nearby and my horse is grazing contentedly flicking flies off with her tail. In the pasture land the cows are finishing the long summer grass off and later there will be milk and cream and butter from them. I may even make cheese and rest it on the slate shelves of the yurt for winter to get blue veined and ripe.

I am making currant tea cakes on the yurt stove for the morning and have new raspberry jam to have with them and butter from the cows.
