Dear ALL,

I know this is an old thread, but for 1 or or 2 of you this might be relevant ? I am urgently looking for people with a more than average number of pets in their home...for a new BBC 1 programme, please see below:

BBC 1 SEEKS MULTI PET HOUSEHOLDS!
Do you love your pets so much it?s taking over your home and your life?

Do you need help caring for all your pets?
Do you find it hard to say no to more?
Do you feel overwhelmed by the amount of animals needing help or rescue?
Are you constantly having other people?s unwanted pets dumped on your doorstep?
Or do you know someone who is taking on too much? Perhaps a friend or family member's situation is getting hard to manage?

Whatever the situation, we'd love to hear from people who are willing to share their experiences and insights. Any conversation is not a commitment to participate in the programme.

2 cats
8 cherry barbs (fish)
Lots of shrimps
4 giant stick insects and soon to be lots of babies

Really hoping to get a dog by the end of the year! I used to have loads more fish but got rid of loads of tanks when DD1 was born. I'm starting over again now, just setting up a couple of shrimp breeding tanks.

one of the cats has 1 deformed front leg and the other front leg had to be amputated when he was 4 months old, he's now about to turn 1 and you wouldnt think there was anything wrong with him (other than the vet bills)

One dog (cavalier, aged 10).
One cat (14).
Three guinea pigs.
Two free range bantam hens (Wyandottes).

They live in harmony, though the guinea pigs are behind bars at all times.

Yes that's right five rabbits, three rescues, one was dumped in the local park. The oldest one is nine years three months and thirteen days old !

Also eight brown chickens.

I have 3 cats, 2 rabbits and 5 guinea pigs though 2 of those really belong to the playgroup where I work and I am getting a new baby guinea pig at the weekend as a friend for my little white one that the others didn't like.

2 cats too many.

They are such hard work - we had to sort out all manner of pooing issues. DH said cats are no bother ( HE NOW THINKS THESE ARE HARD WORK), DD cries if I WANT TO RETURN TO KINDLY FARM SANCTUARY.

I am kind to my cats, will look after them but they have to havew litter trays and I hate it.
