DH works in IT and gets sent random CVs on spec all the time - he sends the best bits on to me and this came today, I just had to share:

Good, eh?

Goes to meetings to try to figure out how to tell crusty old managers that they need to learn how to use email.

translates tech speak into exec speak to persuade crusty execs to pay for new tech stuff

(I used to do this )

Marvellous. He wanted to join the SAS (liaison, storming, executing) but he settled for IT.

I was once told about a CV which said "sense of humour - well honed"

mcnoodle · 26/03/2008 11:39

The geek shall inherit the earth

Should stick to communicting in binary code methinks

WendyWeber · 26/03/2008 11:49

Excellent!

I'll send your offerings back to DH, which will put him on the spot as he said "I'd hire him if I knew what he meant"

Your dh should reply and ask applicant to re-phrase the whole thing so a ten-year-old child could understand it. It might come out in English then.

throckenholt · 27/03/2008 11:29

effective communication

I don't think that is really his strong point ....

Hallgerda · 27/03/2008 11:35

I'd get out of the way before he tries poking any wires into your brain, Wendy. Quickly...
