'Disinterested'

For the love of Christ, you are 'uninterested' in the details of your PIL's sex life, not 'disinterested'. Showing a 'disinterest' in something means that you're even-handed, lacking in bias and that you have no vested interests in the matter.

Apologies for extreme example ^ but, disturbingly, it was the first scenario to pop into my head Hmm

What's brought this on then? I agree with you, although there are worse crimes. bloody 'begs the question' from every reporter everywhere in every news bulletin
