When I used to ask my grandpa how old he was he used to say he was the same age as his tongue and six months older than his teeth. It took me years to work out what he meant!!

I shall look forward to joining Gransnet. We can plot how we're going to get our revenge on our children by filling our grandchildren up with coke and E-numbers and msg so they give their mum and dad gip all night, hehehe!!

very wise to keep it under wraps seudonim - look what happens when you slip up! people remember, then go and repost the thread and tell the world - my own fault I suppose!

Oh she would love a Gransnet - complains that she can't find any good chat boards so she's invaded here instead .

Well, I'm not as young as I was, Joolstoo!! Two of my children are older than quite a few of the Mumsnetters, though I'm not a granny yet and have been told not to hold my breath.

You first played outside your house?
Probably about 6 or 7 but can't really remember.
---
Went shopping for your mum?
Same, I should think - shop was only four doors away. I used to go for cigarettes for my mum/grandpa!
-----
Went to school alone?
12, when I started at grammar school.
-----
Rode a bike?
25 and very wobbly - I never did learn properly!
--
Went on public transport?
Apart from school transport? About 14 or 15.
----
Visited your local town/city with your mates?

14 or 15.
---

My mum was pretty wary about us going anywhere on our own although oddly she would allow bro and me to go off with a picnic for hours on end.

Joolstoo - Spinel, who posts mainly on the Philosophy threads, is older than you. Not telling you how old though cos highly likely she would kill me

Because around the time it was your birthday (was it October? Same day as someone else anyway - moo?) you mentioned your age. Or maybe it was on a "How Old Are You?" thread. Whichever, it's what I am going to be Very Soon
