question...when did your baby start to smile?

ds2 is 3 weeks and has been grinning at me, dp was saying it was wind..he never actually saw..anyway HV was round and i was talking to ds2 in a silly voice and his face lit up and he beamed at me HV said yes, that was definatly a smile.
I know its supposed to be 6 wks+, but when did you get that first smile?

About 3 MONTHS. We think he had Delayed Visual Maturation though. He is 8 months old now and we know he CAN see us now and he smiles all the time!

Your DP is just jealous. My last one started at about 7 weeks but she was a colicy baby.

DS = 6 weeks. DD = 4 weeks (i.e yesterday). A huge beaming grin, which she repeats when I grin and coo at her. Sooooo sweet.

Can't really remember with DD1... probably about 5-6 weeks. Definitely later than DD2, who absolutely definitely without a doubt beamed at me for ages once when she was 3 weeks old. It made me cry, I remember that
