potty training when they've got a tummy bug??

i've been potty training my little boy with 'big boy' pants for nearly a week, he'd been doing brilliantly, no accidents at all!! yesterday he seemed poorly but i wasn't sure what it was!! i thought he was constipated, but then he did a really nasty poo in his pull up at nap time ... so i guessed it was a bit of an upset tummy!!!!

well, today he's had TWO poo accidents in his big boy pants, i didn't see him do the 1st one, but the 2nd one i think took him by surprise!!

should i put him back in pull ups until he's better? still take him to the toilet as i have been, but have the safety net of a pull up?!! he seemed quite upset after the 2nd accident, even tho i tried to let him know its ok, just to use the potty next time!!

he'd been doing so well bless him, its a shame to take a step backwards, but i think he might get a bit of a complex if he keeps getting caught short & doing it in his pants!!

xXx

My DS2 (4) was VERY ill with sickness and poo recently and i put him back into nappies (pull ups) but my DS1 (6) obviously wasn't interested in that even though he had it too.

I'd put him back in pull ups 'till he's better, poor thing. Hope he feels better soon
