Cannot bear 'true' stories where the main focus is on death/killing/war/cruelty - Schindlers List, Saving Private Ryan etc. Just feel that you wouldn't want to watch it if it were real and happening right now, so why is it different if re-enacted? Same with violent films, think the worst one was Goodfellas where they make 2 guys dig their grave and then beat them to death. Not really entertainment in the true sense of the word, unless you are a little odd?

The wierd thing is, can cope better seeing people being shot than I can with someone being hit or hurt in direct combat if you like. What's that all about?!

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG - I watched it as a child and the child catcher freaked me out so much I had nightmares and I have never been able to watch it since and have never let my kids watch it either. I've got goosepimples just thinking about it.

Open Water is very tedious, and so is My House in Umbria, wouldn't watch again.

I didn't think Saw was that bad.

Children of the Corn scared me.

The Abyss - or anything else set under water, or where people have to hold their breath under water, or get drowned etc. Have a real thing about it. I can't even put my face under water in the bath!

Any of the Poltergeist movies. Watched them as a teenager, the little old lady with the squeaky voice freaked me out!
Chuckie was pretty scary too 'Chuckie wants to watch the 9 o'clock nooos'
(Anyone see Dark Night of the Scarecrow or Witchboard as a youngster?)

Wrong Turn was pretty scary but SAW was awful!

I watched a film recently with Kevin Bacon, The Woodcutter or something like that. Absolutely gross!!!!!!! Couldn't sleep ALL night

I have never made it through "The Story of Us" with Bruce Willis and Michelle Pfieffer without crying.

Wont watch horror films as they scare the wits out of me. Wrong Turn was horrible!!

Oh and the new Cancer Research advert where the woman talks about how she felt a lump in her stomach and she thought it was cancerous but it turned out to be a baby - I sobbed for fifteen minutes after seeing that, much to the amusement of my DH!

I can't watch horror films.

Dh put Kill Bill on the other night and I had to turn it off. I thought it was way too OTT.

expatinscotland - I am with you on the Blair With Project. It is a totally non scary film, but all that juddery camera movement stuff made me feel really ill. I had to dash to the loo and be sick - I think the cinema attendent thought I was pregnant or something, tho I wasn't at the time.

I can't do horrors, especially nightmare on elm street. Watched it one night & on the way home stopped at lights, when stalled the car & thought it was Freddy who had hold of the back of the car, doh! (I'd put my hand brake on, which don't normally do).

Anything where a child could potentially be abused or hurt or killed. Or anything with rape.

The Bear - cry I was uncontrollable.

Same at you Compo, anything with rape or harm to babies/children makes me feel sick.

Jaws traumatised me, still have problems swimming in the sea and even now, 12 years later I still have nightmares! Candyman freaked me out and Aliens made me sleep in my parents bed at the age of 15

I can't watch that film where Kevin Bacon abuses those four boys in prison. Can't remember what it is called. Sleepers? Also The Accused with Jodie Foster. Anything with rape in it scares me witless.
