Not sure what to do with it?

a couple of days ago he was playing with a fully grown bird - which has since died. Could be the mum?

Nice one beetroot! Response driver - sounds like a code red response to a terrorist situation!

Glad bird is chirpy this morning

it is very chirpy!

Rang the rescue centre who asked me to bring it in - when I said I couldn't they got rather sniffy with me - said they would send a response driver out - yes a response driver!!!

Put it in a box with some cotton wool, and take it to the vets tomorrow.

Aw no. Has it got feathers or is it bald? Seem to remember dad preparing a little box full of newspaper strips(?) or maybe a blanket and putting a saucer of milk in. I also seem to remember the poor thing didn't make it.

Reckon it could have been the mum. Could you phone the RSPCA / RSPB tomorrow if it lasts the night?

Poor you, it's horrid when you're left with the issue in your hands to deal with...
