Recruitment for this product test has now closed

We are looking for 120 UK Mumsnetters who have a child aged 3 months to 6 years who suffer with dry, rough skin or nappy rash to test La Roche-Posay’s Cicaplast Baume B5; a multi-purpose repairing balm that soothes, restores and protects babys’ delicate skin. Selected testers will be sent the Cicaplast Baume to test with their child over a month and see if it helps improve their dry, rough skin or nappy rash.

Here’s what La Roche-Posay has to say: “We are excited for Mumsnetters to try Cicaplast Balm B5, our multi-purpose repairing balm for delicate, irritated skin. We know babies’ bottoms are a very sensitive area and are often subject to irritation and redness otherwise known as nappy rash. We want to help parents look after their little ones sensitive areas so that the whole family can enjoy some peaceful time together. Our Cicaplast Balm B5 soothes, restores and protects baby's delicate skin, making it ideal as an everyday nappy change balm. It acts as a barrier after each nappy change, to help care for your baby’s skin and protect it against the causes of nappy rash. We hope you and your baby enjoy using it.’’

Selected testers will be sent 2 x 40ml tubes of the Cicaplast Baume and will be required to use it with their child for dry, rough skin flare-ups for a month or for treating nappy rash. We will then ask testers to leave their feedback on a thread on Mumsnet and by filling out a short survey. Everyone that leaves feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Please sign up here if you are interested in taking part

Thanks and good luck!

Couldn't praise this cream enough. Fast absorbing, soothing and have honestly noticed a difference on my son's skin after first application. His skin no longer looks ashy whereas before I was seriously considering taking him to a dermatologist
Thank you.

This cream is incredible ❤️❤️❤️ We have used it on nappy rash on the baby and I can’t even explain how good it is! The difference in 3 applications over night is incredible!

I’m also trialing it on my 5 year old ASD son who’s anxiety means he’s constantly got a sore under lip because he chews it and it’s definitely taken some of the redness out!

@Puffler

Is there a feedback thread yet? This product is amazing! Been using it a few days on DS and it’s made a visible difference.

Hi @Puffler,

Thanks for your question. The feedback thread isn't live just yet as we'd like to give testers plenty of time to test the product before leaving feedback. We'll email you with a link to the feedback thread as soon as it is live Smile

@LucyBMumsnet hi, thank you for letting me know that I have been selected. As I said before I only wondered because I haven't received anything yet, but post and parcels in my area have been very delayed, so I just wanted to check if I should be expecting it. I wouldn't want to have been selected only to never received the product to test.
I have also replied to the email to explain that I haven't received anything yet.
Thanks again for your help.

@happymummy12345

I signed up, haven't received anything yet but post where I am is very delayed so that could be why.
Are those chosen informed that they have been chosen or does it just turn up?

Hi @happymummy12345,

The selected testers have now been emailed to let them know they are taking part in this product test. Apologies for the delay! Smile

Weirdly it has helped my dc but not mine. It seems to have made mine more red and itchy. Anyone else had this ?

Mine turned up today. My d's has some dry patches on his neck, and my eczema has reared it's ugly head so it's a very welcome addition to our household.

I didn't receive any confirmation this time, just received the creams in the post.

My eldest has started having eczema flare-ups again and the cream has worked really well.

I received the cream on Thursday and I started using it on my daughter's skin straight away. (She has some really bad eczema patches which are sore, red and raw in some places. I usually use a combination of hydrocortisone at bedtime and e45 multiple times a day with little improvement and recently it has just gone from bad to worse.)

But this stuff is amazing! I wish I had taken a 'before' picture! In just 24 hours it's looking so much more better. I don't want to speak too soon but the rawness, redness has GONE! The skin is calm, whilst it's usually red and angry.

My daughter says it feels nice on her skin and when she woke up Friday morning she said she felt it was working as her skin was still soft. Other moisturisers dry out very quickly.

The cream is not greasy, lasts long on the skin and forms a sort of protective barrier. A little goes a long way.

I hope this helps someone. I will be buying more...
