Apologies for another late feedback

I was actually very disappointed that in 2 Tesco extra and 1 large ASDA, I was only able to get the fromage frais in ASDA and none of the other products. Indeed I was met with puzzled looks and 'we don't stock them' from Tesco.

The vouchers expired and still I cannot find more than fromage frais

That said, the twins really did enjoy them and wolfed them down.

I just wish the other products were available for me to try.

Q1 First impressions of the packs - how was the labelling? Did the pack design appeal to you?
Yes it did.
Bright, funky and eyecatching.

Q2 Did you think the size of the pots was right for your LO?
The yoghurts were larger than I usually give her but she had no problems polishing them off!

Q3 Taste test: what was the verdict? How was the consistency/ texture of the puddings?
DD was not too keen on the rice pudding, the FF and the yogs were a little bitter compared to Petite Filous and she wasn't too sure at first but we persevered.

Q4 Which product was your LO's favourite
Probably the yogs.

Q5 When did you serve them up? As a snack or after a meal?
Both, I tried the rice pudding as a snack but she still wouldn't try it.

Q6 Child's view point: what did your LO say/ indicate?
DD was not too keen at first with the packaging and the taste.
She is feeding herself at the moment and probably didn't recognise the pots so I had to wrangle the spoon from her to get some in to start her off.

Q7 What do you think of the price?
Expensive for the size and quantity.

Maybe the yogs as they are bigger than what we have now but only occasionally.

Sorry my laptop is on the blink so can't see the questions but hopefully my feedback will fit into them somehow!

Packaging was nice, easy to spot on the shelves but I chucked the card away to fit in the fridge so perhaps not environmentally friendly!

Ds (2) was excited about trying them. Served up both as snack and as pudding (specifically the rice pudding) but he hasn't finished one to date. He generally eats/tries everything and has various kids yogurts (munch bunch/own brand fromage frais) plus natural yogurt with fruit etc I can't put my finger on why he isn't keen, have tried myself and they are nice enough, maybe a bit bland for my taste, v creamy though. They are also quite big, ds is used to smaller portioned yogurts. In saying that, I have known him wolf down a grown ups size yogurt given half the chance!

I wouldn't buy them as ds isn't that keen but also thought they were expensive for max 4. It'd be better having 6/8 in half sized pots for that price, especially as they seem to be aimed at toddlers/pre-schoolers

They were really nice, the bright colours stand out on the shelves, it is definitely something that would appeal to me while looking for new products for my daughter.

Yes, I did think that the size were right.


Q3 Taste test: what was the verdict? How was the consistency/ texture of the puddings?

RP: she had one spoon of it, then cried, I tried several days later and she cried at the sight of the pot. (shame as I thought it was really nice)

Y: Again she tried one spoon of the strawberry and pear one, and wasn't impress, this time, she tried to run away from her highchair. I tried the yogurt and I thought they were a bit too sour.

FF: this one I tricked her into eating it, I knew she would cry as soon as she saw the pot, so I did put it in a small ramekin, she did eat it all, but it took a bit of persuasion.


Q4 Which product was your LO's favourite

I think the mango fromage frais was her favourite one considering that is the only one she finished.


Q5 When did you serve them up? As a snack or after a meal?

I think they were a bit expensive, but if my daughter liked them then I would have considered buying them for her.

1. I really liked the colours and style of the pots. Agree the cardboard sleeve is unnecessary.

Pack design was vibrant and easy to spot on the shelves. Not so sure the cardboard packaging was necessary.

My little boy is just over two and is a bit of a greedy guts and to be honest 2 pots was barely enough!

Taste seemed fine, my little boy thought so too. Consistency was just as it should be.

My boy liked them all apart from the banana one (although he still ate it!!)

Generally they were served as pudding after a meal.

I may buy them now and again if on offer as too pricey for everyday esp considering the size of them. I used to buy the Petis filous/other brand i can't remember name of and stopped buying these because a) expensive and b) too much bad stuff in them and now usually give my boy Natural Yoghurt with fruit in. 1 large tub of natural yoghurt can last 3 days (1 day por portion) for 66p!!and mix any bits of fruit that are in the house in to them. Much cheaper and much healthier. But for things like Nursery or days out it is sometimes handy to have them in small ready bought pots but again these would be a treat and bought on special offer.

DS would only try the yoghurts - the rice pudding and fromage frais were both met with 'no no no' - but that's more to do with him than the products I think!
He loved the strawberry yoghurt, but found the pineapple one a little sweet judging from his expression.
I thought the texture looked good, and I loved the idea of a rice pudding like this.

1. I love Ella's Kitchen package. It was very bright and engaging, with what was snide written in big letters on the front. DD also lives the packaging and was just looking at it (before putting it in her mouth)!

1. My DD would have eaten all the pack if I'd let her I think. It is just right to have of a snack/dessert and I liked the fact they were in twos, which is how much she would have in a day. I usually have to put yogurt in fruit so that she likes the taste, but she did have these on their own.

1. I really liked the yogurts and fromage frais, but the blueberry consistency is not how I like it (I don't like rice pudding)

1. the blueberry rice pudding was DD's favourite, so there could have been more in the pack. She's does love berries so raspberry would have been nice too, since I don't tend to buy them.

1. I served them as both a snack and dessert. It was easier as dessert and she is in the 'mode' and knows she has to eat her food to get it.

1. DD seemed to like them all, by preferred the rice puddings.

1. I think the price is OK since it is the same as the rest of the market. Baby yogurts are always more expensive, but I don't mind because of there being less sugars.

1. I would buy them again but perhaps only one a day since they are quite expensive and I do still like to give DD pieces of fruit since I think they are more nutritious.

1. I did find the packs appealing, and clearly Ella's Kitchen. I wondered though if the cardboard outer was entirely necessary though, from an environmental point of view.
   
2. Size wise - perfect I think for a baby or toddler, just right for my 13 month old.
   
3. We didn't manage to get hold of the rice puddings, but the yogurts & fromage frais went down very well, lovely thick consistency, my reflux suffering toddler didn't suffer any 'repeats' after eating them.
   
4. The banana fromage frais seemed to be the favourite.

7. On the pricey side, would probably wait for an offer.
   
8. Overall very good, in my opinion they're a step on from the 'plum' baby fromage frais - they seem a little more suited to the older baby or toddler due to the larger size and brighter more toddler eye catching packaging.

Very clear branding and obvious it is ella's kitchen in the chiller aisle recognise the pack and found the colours stick out prominently.

Yes she is 19 months and does not eat a lot so these pot sizes were perfect

I had to persist to get her to eat them at first because they are rather sour and bitter compared to Petits Filous which my LO is used to but I persisted because am convinced they have less sugar and are better for her. We did not manage to try the rice pudding it was too hard to get hold off after trying 4 local supermarkets.

Mango fromage frais - I wish I could just buy a pack of mango flavoured as my LO is fussy and not too bothered about the other flavours.

The pack was very nice, stood out straight away when I finally found them (3rd attempt), the kind of packaging I've come to expect from ella's kitchen, bright and appealing.

The yoghurt is a bit big but I'm sure he'll polish it off anyway, the are were perfect.

Yes - great portion size for my children. The fromage frais was great for my baby and the yoghurts for the bigger children.

All were very popular. My baby, 4yo and 6yo all liked the yoghurt and fromage frais and the bigger ones liked the rice pudding. No complaints.

The rice pudding but I think that's partly because we don't often have that - it was more novelty.

Yummy. The 4yo and 6yo do love characters, jokes, gimmicks etc. so they would have liked something along these lines. Adding something like that would definitely increase the age range these appeal to in my opinion - this is useful for families trying to please multiple age groups.

Fairly dear - I would probably only buy when there was a 2 for... or similar offer.

Yes but only if they are available in Sainsburys where I do my main shop and only if on offer - I tend to only ever buy yoghurts on offer as there's always one on. The one exception might be the rice pudding as that's a little different and makes a change so I'd go more out of my way for it.

The labelling makes it clear that it is the Ella's Kitchen Range. Having one main block colour (red, orange or blue) does make is stand out from the other brands.

My daughter is 11 months and eats like a horse. I thought the yoghurt one was on the large side but she still polished it off no problems, but may not be the case for other 11 months olds. All the other ones were the right size for her.

Yoghurts were a bit bland I thought and i think having citrus (ie pineapple) in a yoghurt isn't quite right. But dd wasn't bothered
The fromage frais were nicer and the colour not too artificially orange. The flavour was quite subtle though. DD liked them though
The rice pudding was good, we tend to have shops own which can be a bit liquidy.

All of them?!?!?! She can't tell me but if i was to pick for her we'll go for mango fromage frais

We had them as dessert after tea (evening meal)

Didn't say anything but was quite keen to grap the loaded spoon off me and shovel it in!

EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!! The flavours were really bland and subtle and for a fraction of the price a 35p pot of greek yoghut which probably does 2-3 portions and a bit of fruit is far more tastier and ALOT cheaper. I don't tend to get branded 'kids' stuff for this reason so don't really know how it compares to say petit filous.

Probably not for the reason above. There are more cost effective ways of having a yummy pudding ie natural yoghurt and fruit, or shops own rice pudding that the whole family can have. If they were on offer of i had a voucher i might get them as a treat, but on the whole i wont be rushing out for them

Still haven't been able to find the rice puddings

I did manage to get massively fussy eater DS to try the strawberry and pear yoghurt and he really enjoyed it! Couldn't get him to try mango & pineapple for love nor money though Maybe you could create some more simple flavours? I had to tell a big fat fib to get him to even try the strawberry and pear one! ( it's just plain strawberry, honest!)

Well finally managed to get all 3 products after spending 15 minutes managing to persuade 4 different members of Asda staff that they were allowed to accept the vouchers!!! Grrrrr!! So here goes...

Yes perfect for a toddler..not too big and not too small.

Consistency and texture of all 3 seemed just right to me. 2yr old DD2 loved the yogurts and fromage frais, wolfed them down without a second thought. She didn't like the rice pudding though; she spat it out and said "no like it!!" However DD1 age 7 yrs was happy to take it off her hands & said it was delicious warm or cold but that the pot was too small and she could have eaten 3!! She also enjoyed the yogurts & fromage frais..said they were creamy and tasted nice & fruity but not as sweet as they usually are. DH & I also tasted them all and agree they taste good in flavour & consistency though I didn't like the banana fromage frais, it somehow tasted artificial?

DD1 age 7 yrs loved the rice pudding..DD2 age 2yrs loved the mango fromage frais..I've put this as her favourite as this was the one she asked for "more pease" of!!

See above.."more pease" of mango fromage frais; spat out the rice pudding "no hike (like!) it and ate all the rest without question. Also worth knowing that when they were in the fridge even though they were "hidden" she managed to find them and brought them to me saying "Livys!!! Have one??!!" Even though there were other yogurts/fromagefrais in the fridge that she already knew as being hers!

Q7 What do you think of the price?
Seem more expensive in comparison to other similar products eg Rachels Organics and Yeo Valley Organic..that said I usually buy them when on special offer. Lots more expensive than the non organic Petit Filous, Little Stars, Wildlife pots etc. Also noticed that Asda was cheaper for them than Tesco.

I would buy the yogurts and fromage frais again if they were on promotion or if the standard price point was lowered. I would not buy the rice pudding again as DD2 didn't like it and DD1 would want to eat 2 at a time!!!

Again agree with previous posters, that the cardboard outer is not needed.

Yes, as he is starting to get to an age where one of his normal fromage frais is not enough for him but other more ?adult? yoghurts are way too big

Rice Pudding: Couldn?t find this sorry! I will be making one more trip to the supermarket at the weekend and can go to Asda, rather than Tesco to see if I can get this

Yoghurts: Nice creamy smooth texture, lovely flavours. DS polished it off and said ?niiiiice? while rubbing his tummy furiously

Fromage Frais: Didn?t seem overly keen on the banana flavoured one (I don?t eat fromage frais so didn?t try) but the mango one was wolfed down.
Q4 Which product was your LO's favourite

Mango Fromage Frais or either of the yoghurts.

Q5 When did you serve them up? As a snack or after a meal?

I served them as a snack as DS eats all his meals at nursery in the week and doesn?t tend to need more food when he gets home.
On a weekend I would probably serve the fromage frais after lunch and or as a snack.

Yoghurts: Nice!

Fromage Frais: Mango ? yummy

Q7 What do you think of the price?

I found the The RRP to be a little above the price I would normally pay for a ?staple? . I think £1.75 would be more reasonable.


Q8 Overall: your overall view? Will you buy them again? Why/ why not?

I think we will try them again as Ella?s Kitchen is a brand we have adopted in our house since DS was born and have always liked the quality of the products.
I do think, however, that we will look out for 2 for 1 offers and the like as these are a little too dear.

Like others, we couldn't find the rice pudding anywhere so all our answers apply to the yoghurts and fromages frais.

Q1 First impressions of the packs - how was the labelling? Did the pack design
appeal to you?
Very appealing - bright, uncluttered, stands out on the shelves, very much in keeping with the Ella's Kitchen brand.

Q2 Did you think the size of the pots was right for your LO?
The size was perfect - not too much, not too little for our 15 month old.

Q3 Taste test: what was the verdict? How was the consistency/ texture of the puddings?
Our daughter loved all of the flavours. Consistency/texture was no different to other competitive products, so familiar to our LO. She seemed to like these more than her usual yoghurts / fromages frais and would choose the Ella's Kitchen range if given a choice. From my POV, these seemed less sweet than other brands on the market, which is a good thing.

Think they're great and an obvious hit in our household although I probably wouldn't buy them unless they were on special offer.
