Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Pregnancy progressing too slow at 7 weeks

Hi,
This is my first time here and I'm feeling pretty desperate/ in need of some positives stories. I've had 2 previous miscarriages and am now pregnant again. I went for a 7 week scan today and was told there is a 'flicker' but the gestational sac is only 11mm and should be 18mm as well as being slightly misshapen and I should be further along. My dates are very accurate. I was told my chances of miscarriage again are high. Has anyone had a similar experience with a positive outcome? I feel so desperate :(

Hi @Ganesh2022
What are your measurements if you don't mind me asking? Did the sonographer give you an indication as to the likelihood of the outcome? What week are you? I'm hoping it works out for you!

@MNBV777 I've been thinking about it and I wonder if many people would've had this issue had they been scanned early but due to waiting til 12 week scan they didn't know that there was a potential issue. I guess this applies both for when things work out and when they don't. Just thinking out loud really. Next time I may just wait til 12 weeks. But I know I won't be able to. God it's hard isn't it....Fingers crossed yoursand minewill fall under "wouldn't have known there was a suspected issue, all is great."

Can't help but I'm in a similar situation (so can keep you company...), this will likely be 3rd loss. I know my dates but measuring behind and little growth between scans. I'm finding it really, really hard and don't know what to do with myself.

Yes, I think it was about 10 days later, and baby had grown 10 days worth of growth so they were happier. Keep in touch x

Thanks @HoneyFlowers . Did you have to do a repeat scan a week or two later?

I'm so sorry to hear, I was in the same situation... At 7 week scan I think she said it was 5mm and didn't think pregnant was viable. He's now a strapping lad almost as tall as me! I just conceived later in the month so dates were out. I wouldn't lose hope just yet and fingers crossed, I know how awfully worrying it all is x
