Pregnancy test positive 15 days after operation for eptopic pregnancy ?!?

Posting here for more traffic!

Not really sure what to think. 15 days after the operation and I'm testing positive.

Last test I did was last Wednesday and it was fainter than this slightly!

My Doctor won't see me today, I'll have to call tomorrow.

Yes the sonographer spent a good long while looking.

I'm not really 100% about what she saw. She said my consultant would explain and make a plan but he isn't in until tomorrow.

Did they thoroughly check the uterus?

This doesn't seem to be ending!

I was admitted early hours last night because of the worst pain I have ever had, shooting pains what felt up my bum. Exactly the same as the ectopic but worse.

Scan straight away but my bladder was too full to tell even though I couldn't wee. Doctor drained it with a catheta.

This morning a scan showed there might be a mass in my tube I think and some fluid, but it's quite unclear.

My consultant wasn't here today so i have to wait until tomorrow to see him. Luckily the pain has mostly gone and I am able to wee again, but I'm so scared it will come back.

No one really knows what's wrong!!

The nurse phoned with the results. HCG up too 600.

She spoke with the surgeon who thinks it's a product of the pregnancy. I have to go back next week for more tests and they will decide then but are hoping it comes away in the mean time.

This is horrible.

I'm hoping that would have come up in the scan last week. She said my uterus was fine so was my remaining tube. Nice thin lining, so free fluid or anything

The nurse will call me back tomorrow with HCG test results, I guess we will discuss it from there. But going by the strength of the pregnancy test I would say they are up.

115 could have been from your previous pregnancy and 300 from a new pregnancy?

It sound like you are pregnant to me if the numbers are going up and not down. I hope you get it resolved soon and get the result that you would like .

I doubt it HobNails as I had a test showing 115 HCG and then 300 6 days later.

If it was a pregnancy it would have been much higher that 300

It sounds as though you go pregnant when you had sex 3 days after the operation which is why it was a faint and now getting stronger bfp. It would also explain why nothing showed on the scan.....

Gosh OP, I'm sorry to hear that.

Do you have a doctor/hospital appointment booked?

Have you had any more bleeding?

Just an update really as this is still not resolved, am now even more confused!!

So went back for blood tests a week after it came up as 115. New blood tests showed levels of 300. So not doubling like if it was normal pregnancy but rising all the same. I had a scan which showed nothing in my uterus.

(No coil either but that is another story)

Came back a week later for more bloods. Had a bit of bleeding so Nurse confident that HCG levels will have dropped. Asked me to POAS as if it was Neg then no need for bloods.

Test came up Pos, quickly and V. strong which leads me to believe HCG levels are higher now. Results are in tomorrow.

No amount of googling is coming up with an answer, Nurse mentioned that a 'product of pregnancy' might have broke away and attached itself and be growing...but WTF!! I had my whole right tube removed.

Has anyone had any experience of this?? Know what might happen next ect??
