DD not doing her school work

I'm a single parent and DD is 12, she has online schooling from 8.40 to 3.30, most of which are live streamed lessons apart from P-E and sometimes DT.
I had a phone call from her form tutor today to say that they can see she is logged in and attending but hasn't done a stroke of actual work in 2 of her subjects for the last 2 weeks. It may turn out to be more than 2 subjects but that's what they know at the moment.
DD has chosen to deny this outright but the teachers must know what's going on.
I also work from home and am often on work calls too. So my involvement in DD's school work is minimal although she often asks for help when lesson codes etc don't work. I do ask her about her day too and what she's been doing in lessons, so it seems she has been lying to me.
School now want me to be much more involved in lessons, checking she is in them, checking she is actively working and submitting her work etc.
But next week my hours are going up to full time ( I've been doing 5 hrs a day so far ) so I will have even less time available.
This seems to be a recent thing with DD but I do want to get it nipped in the bud if possible?
Have any of you had similar situations and can offer tips on the best way to go about this and juggle things?

Is it possible to work in the same room?

StarCourt · 03/02/2021 17:52

Only during times I'm not on a call.
Or I suppose we could both wear headphones

I'd assume she is either not listening at all - putting her computer sound on mute and looking at her phone/ internet, or there is some reason she doesn't feel able to submit work. I'd suspect the former though. Does she keep her phone with her while working?

@ClaudiaWankleman no she doesn't have her phone with her during school lessons, I put it In my room and she 'works' on her laptop.
I suppose she could have a separate browser open though.
