Low-carb diets

Ketosis - wow! But am I now eating enough?

So, it's day 12 for me of induction.

I am NOT hungry. For me, a carb junkie who before low carbing would have scoffed enough crap to satisfy a starving builder by this time of day, that is a miracle.

So, do I continue to eat my meals, despite not really wanting them, or can I cut down?

I had two fried eggs with one piece of bacon at half past ten this morning, not because I was hungry, but because I thought I should probably eat something. I am planning on having roast chicken with broccoli for dinner this evening (and a splodge of mayo to keep fat intake up as I don't eat cheese), and I think I will be fine until then.

Should I have some egg mayo later this afternoon anyway, even if I feel okay without it?

I know what you mean - I ate lunch at 11.30, then had nothing until half an hour ago when I thought I should probably have something so I had home cooked ham with cabbage cooked in butter. I wasn't really hungry but had done a fitness DVD and been for a run and worried I would feel rotten later on and struggle to sleep if I don't eat now...

It's a fine line isn't it between only eating when you're hungry and not letting hunger get the better of you!

I did end up having 2 eggs mashed with mayo, I was worried about not getting enough fat.

I am still not starving though, not like I would have been.

However, the chicken which is currently roasting in the oven is tempting me!

If you think your blood sugar levels are stable, you can maybe start skipping or prolonging time between meals if you really arent hungry for them. I eat when hungry, which when in proper ketosis is only 3 times a day. Good luck :)
