Boys 8 and 1 sharing, thoughts?

Not 8 and 1 yet but will at the time of sharing.

Thinking of moving in with partner and his daughter (7) who he has 5050, 3 bed house but the boys will have to share the larger room, step daughter will have the small room.

Not sure if the two boys sharing will work long term due to the age gap. Obviously the baby can stay with us longer.

I dont think it will work personally and i can't think of an alternative unless baby goes in sisters room when shes at her mums then goes back in with his brother when shes home but the thought of that feels like it will be disruptive for little one.

What are your thoughts?

Will be less disruptive if older one goes to small room when step daughter away. Maybe he can keep his stuff in the larger room though. Think this might only work short term though.

I have 3 brothers. They interchanged and shared rooms with 5 10 and 15 years between.

5 years between first age second brother. 10 years between 2nd and 3rd brother.

It was inconvenient at times but absolutely fine overall.

Look at different bed types and configurations once the little brother is out of the cot.
You should be able to find beds that enable boys of 10 and three to share, offering each some privacy.
