Laparoscopy tomorrow but AF late

Hi

I'm scheduled for a laporoscopy tomorrow as my HSG showed partial blockage on my tubes from scar tissue. Been ttc for 18months,no other known issues.

AF is now 4 days late, have tested with ICs on 2 different days- both BFN.

Do they do a pg test before the lap? Im sure it'll be negative anyway but just in case. And if AF does show I'm assuming its still ok to go ahead even if I have a heavy period?

So annoyed that this month is the cycle that goes crazy 😔

Thanks for thinking of me @VenusStarr I test BFN so had the lap and dye done. It went well and surprisingly no scar tissue was found (so different to what HSG indicated!). Recovery is going ok, although I have been surprised at how unwell I've felt, I expected to be back to normal by now haha. And of course the procedure triggered AF to arrive so at least I'm out of limbo!

How did you get on yesterday @LottieDot? Hope the recovery goes well x

Thanks both. Still no AF and a BFN this morning so I'm assuming itll all still go ahead this afternoon.

@VenusStarr I was told the same for my HSG but the lap I was told could be done at any time and I wasnt told not to try. But now I'm doubting all that haha

I'm waiting for my hysteroscopy date @jcurve and my consultant said they would do it if I was on my period - I was concerned we'd have to delay if I was and he said it would be fine.

@LottieDot when I went for my hsg they didn't do a pregnancy test but asked a million times if I'd had unprotected sex as I'd been told not to try that cycle. I'd definitely tell them if you've been actively ttc as there is a chance 🤞

Yes, you do a urine test on admission.
They can go ahead with laparoscopy but they won’t do hysteroscopy on your period.
