Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone wants to hold hands as we go through a cycle?

After a failed fresh cycle earlier this year, I’m starting my progynova today with a planned FET for May.

Would love some company x

@picklesandpetals so sorry to hear this. Such disappointing news after going through everything. Take care of yourself.

Is there a clinic near you that offers the access fertility packages? There are some that offer refunds if your cycle isn't successful and you can also pay in instalments.

@picklesandpetals I'm so sorry lovely. Be kind to yourself, have a large glass of wine and some soft cheese.

If you want some details about our clinic let me know. It was a very competitive price.

Well I did my test this morning, bfn for me I'm afraid. Had been so hopeful too, hadn't had any brown bleeding at all for several days, actually thought it had worked. OH wants me to do another test later but I think we have to face facts. Feel numb, disappointed, angry, so many emotions. It cost us so much money, going to take a while before we can have another go too. The 2 week pupo feeling was nice whilst it lasted

Decided to stop taking cyclogest today. Don't see the point any more 😏

@Ahoneybee do you think could be implantation bleeding? I really hope so! I think we all deserve a good end result !
Yeh I’m kinda in limbo land today, desperately want EC done now have never wished a weekend away before
Just hoping my recovery will be swift xx

@rainylake thank you. The test the hospital supplied did not work or show anything yesterday so I will buy another this morning. I thought on Friday AF had arrived but then by Saturday it had stopped. Maybe my body is a bit all over the place. @bangsaklove and @Yorkshirelass27 good luck. I was pleased to get egg collection and transfer done as it felt like another big step in what is quite a big journey.

When is your Test date Yorkshirelass27?

Hi,

Yes rainylake sounds very similar. It helped to hear it as you never quite know if you are doing the right thing. Thank you. I bet having a bath and swimming was great!
Yep bangsaklove it does seem like many have moved on from this thread. Will keep you posted and ditto.
Well I am now pupo! The ET was as painful as last time. Something about my cervix being tight. They had to change from a flexible catheter to a rigid one. They did manage to get it into the right position and I saw the two embies being put in place. Of course I've been googling like crazy about it, I know stupid or what Confused, which said it can reduce chances of a successful implantation/pregnancy. So once again my head is in overdrive! Tut!
Hope you are all relaxing in the sunshine x

I am finally allowed to have baths and go swimming again (it seems my clinic is way stricter on that point than everywhere else - found stuff online from big hospitals in London saying it's fine after transfer but I was told not to!). So I had a bath last night which was bliss, and then went for a swim this morning and discovered that I'm now super unfit after doing no exercise for almost a month. Did another test this morning (a cheapie from Boots) and it was still positive so feeling a bit more confident now. By the way to those waiting to test, when I spoke to the nurse yesterday she said if you want to retest best to wait 48 hours between tests as it takes a while for the hormone levels to change.

I have my scan on 12th June which feels like ages but I am going away on holiday in between so that will take my mind off it.

When I had the transfer the embryologist said they could make me a little video of my embryo from the time lapse they had done. I wanted to wait as if it was negative I didn't want to have got emotionally attached to that embryo but if all is okay at the scan I will ask for it then.

Love the PUPO phrase! I’d not seen that before. Hopefully me next week
Oh wow @Yorkshirelass27 i thought these decisions were made for us! How naive I am!
I think youve done the right thing as if it’s gonna work is gonna work right. How very exciting and please keep us posted as I think we are the only two left around this stage 😀 but too far advanced for other June boards
Loving all the BFPs and BFN Girls I hope you’re being kind to selves...if that’s me I will be getting massages and wine to heal! X

@Yorkshirelass27 my understanding is that the only benefit of a day 5 transfer is that if there are quite a few embryos to choose from, the extra 2 days helps them work out which the best are. My clinic told me that they would wait till day 5 if there were enough embryos of a similar standard that they needed time to work out which the best 1 or 2 were, but if there were only a small number of embryos or it was really clear which the best were they might as well put them back on day 3. And it sounds like that's your situation.

Thank you for that hoping, that is very reassuring to hear. I felt so put on the spot this morning and my head is still spinning, wondering if I've done the right thing. The embryologist said if it is going to work transferring on day 3 or 5 doesn't make a difference. They are going to watch the third and hopefully it makes it to the freezer. Huge congratulations to you!!
Thanks Si1ver, hoping it's less painful that last time. Massive congratulations on your result!!
xx

Good to hear you have taken another positive step forward bangsaklove, lots of luck for Tuesday.
Had to make a tricky decision to transfer today or wait until Monday. As only 3 embryos and transferring 2, rightly or wrongly, I decided to go for today. My brain is in overdrive!
Has anyone any positive outcomes from a 3dt?
Good luck to those testing over the next few days. Hope you all have a lovely weekend x

@PonyPals that is very useful to know - thank you. We don't actually know if fresh is a possibility but want to check before starting again.

How is everyone feeling today?

@Ahoneybee we had frozen sperm from our first IVF cycle 3 years ago so thought we would be using it in this cycle but FS said we will try fresh and if that doesn't look good then we will just use frozen.
The only reason she said to use fresh is coz she wanted to mimic our successful cycle.

Good luck for everyone who has their test this weekend and big congratulations to those who have tested positive :) My official test date is tmw but I'm not hopeful. After getting two faint positives a few days ago I've now had a series of negatives and feel like AF is on the way. I think the positives may have been the trigger shot. Unfortunately they got none to freeze so it looks like another cycle will be coming my way. Does anyone know if there's more chance from fresh sperm vs. Frozen? We weren't told until the transfer date that frozen is not so good. Unfortunately frozen may be our only option due to husband having had testicular cancer though.
