Adhesions/HSG?

Hi there - just looking for any experiences/success stories after an HSG?

Had a hysteroscopy today to investigate mid cycle bleeding and was quite surprised when the gynaecologist came in and asked if I was planning to get pregnant, then proceeded to say he needed to do an HSG as he couldn’t find my tubes. I have to ring his secretary when I start my next period so we can schedule one in.

At this point I’d only just woken up from the GA and was still seriously groggy so I think I’m going to have to ring the secretary in the morning and ask her to reiterate exactly what he said, but I’m sure he said something about adhesions and to cancel the hysteroscopy follow up appointment as I’ll need this HSG first.

Was so disappointed as he seemed to think before the hysteroscopy that that would solve the mid cycle bleeding that’s causing conception problems and he would just “hoover out” anything that shouldn’t be there. Am trying (and failing) not to google and panic. So frustrating that I had this mid cycle bleeding for years after a csection and knew something wasn’t right.

Just spoke to the secretary and she said that my cavity was very short and she’s going to try and get me to have the HSG on a Wednesday. Am very concerned about having a hysteroscopy and HSG in the same month - has anyone had this? After googling what she said, I suspect they think I’ve got Ashermans. I would have preferred to leave the HSG until next month but as it’s Christmas she said I’d have to wait until January at the earliest if I don’t do it next week.
