A supportive and slightly fluffy thread for those dealing with the issues of ttc longterm, whether with assisted fertility or not.

Hello ladies the thread seems quiet these days but I am still lurking

I had a baby girl on 13th June we named her Theiah and like another mummy has said it is hard and I wouldn't wish it on anyone but for those of us who have to go through it number 1 it is so worth it and number 2 because of the journey we take it makes it all the more special Grin so through the sleepless nights and crying fits it is worth it so please stay positive and don't give up

Congrats to all the other new mummies

Glad that you a feeling ok after the lap/drilling I remember not being in to much pain either so that's the up side I suppose hopefully it'll kick start things for you rest up and have a brew Brew

Congrats devil, wonderful news. Hope you and your little bundle are doing well. And pink (if your lurking amidst the newborn haze, lol) congratulations too!

My big hope for the next few months is to start ovulating on my own. (Such big dreams huh?!?) Failing that, start on clomid and see where that takes us. I actually just turned 30 a few weeks ago so sounds like I qualify for that group!

Sorry meant to reply to flixy too! Ouch re recovering from the lap, good to hear you're on the mend and they didn't find any nasties. What's the plan then? What next? If you are looking for a fun conception group, I recommend the BESH - they are 30+ TTCers (sorry I can't remember how old you are?) with a dry sense of humour. I was there for ages and still lurk. Lots of them having AC at the moment. All the best with TTC anyway :)

Hi folks. Congratulations Faith! Grin Has anyone heard from Pinkapples?

I have news.....my Bobble boy has arrived! Four weeks early due to placenta previa but healthy and utterly amazing. Worth every minute of the wait Grin

Hi faith! I remember you as your DH had high prolactin levels like myself? Congratulations on your DD, I'm sure she is such a wonderful blessing for you and your DH.

I'm currently lying in bed recovering from a laparoscopy and ovarian drilling procedure that I had carried out today. Little bit tender at the wound sites but other than that not feeling too bad! My tubes are clear and my womb looks normal and I've no sign of endo so apart from the pesky pcos it's good news.

It's so lovely to hear success stories from the infertility boards-I tried to bump this thread a while back but there's not really much support here, maybe I need to move onto the conception boards?

Hi all, thought I'd bump and see if anyone is around?

I thought you'd like to know I had a baby -- DD was born 14th April at 7.22am. 9 days early and weighed a tiny 5lb 4oz. She's 9 weeks now and gaining well. I can look at her now and honestly say although the journey was tough, she is worth it.

I hope things are more positive for you all now.

Hi Inthebeginning, got AF the day after. By coincidence I got a call about a Clearblue clinical test that I'd signed up for. Basically they're testing a new fertility monitor & I'm gonna test one on my next cycle. So something positive in terms of ttc.

Hi dusty, that's really sad. Still hopeful though until af comes?
I'm under another name now. Used to be "waitingtobeamummy" .

Sorry I haven't been on much I've been trying to not think too much about ttc & hope that helped. I'm on day 28 of my cycle & I usually never go over 25 days, can be as short as 22 days. Got all excited & we did a test this morning but nothing. So upset really thought I was. No pms symptoms that I normally get and been feeling nauseous but must be all in my head. It's horrible coz I got the hubby's hopes up as well. After it was negative he told me he was looking at nappies on offer in Asda last night.

Oh dear, I'm sad this thread has died a little bit, as I know it's given me lots of support and a place to vent when I've needed it! I hope this message bumps it up again and we get some new folks joining (although obviously I don't wish infertility on anyone!).

Pink I'm so glad ur scan went well, defo not long now for you!

Currently I'm on metformin, trying to lose some weight before my laparoscopy (waiting on a date) and eventual start on clomid. Dunno what's going on with my cycles/lack of cycles Confusedbut going on holidays in 3 weeks so really just looking forward to that firstly.

3D scan was good Grin baby is definitely a girly woohoo! She had her hands in front of her face for most of it I was rolling around on the bed like a right muppet! Heads down (probably why I've had rib pain as she's kicking me in them) and measuring right on Grin got some good scan pictures once her hands moved slightly she looked so cute if a little hungry (she went from having her hand over her face to sucking on her forearm) probably as I haven't eaten in 5 days she's starting to feel it but I'm just glad she's alright as long as I'm the only one feeling crap I don't mind ahhhhh next time I see her shell be out!

Hmmm bit tricky flixy don't know can you perhaps phone them and ask. How far are you into private treatment? That might aid your decision

I'm on cyclizine now for my sickness so hopefully that will help get me eating. Doctor wanted to send me to the hospital today but I said I'd try the tablets first so got an appointment tomorrow for a check. Plus my 3D scan is this afternoon and I am not missing that Grin

DH has been working over Easter so I've taken myself out shopping and coffee drinking!

I've got a question-I got a referral from my own gp ages ago for a gynae appointment. I got a letter saying it could be as long as a 16 week wait. We then decided that we should go private-which we have been doing and things have been moving fast. So on Friday I got a letter from the nhs offering me an appointment. Confused

I was going to phone up and tell them that I don't need the appointment anymore but my DH says I should go anyway. I think this is such a waste as I'm being treated already and someone else should have my slot but am worried that if we need nhs treatment in future it will look like I've turned down a previous referral/appointment. What should I do?

I've just turned 29 weeks so excited for my 3d scan on Tuesday next week woohoo and after today have 5 days off work so looking forwar to that and hubby is back off a training course where he's been all week Grin

Not enjoying the nights though I know pregnancy and a baby is all I've wanted but I tell you what the noise I have developed when sleeping is awful hubby often spends nights in the spare room which is rubbish but I've been told it WILL subside when babies born Grin fingers crossed

Aww thanks pink. I honestly think we will look back one day when we are parents and wonder what all the worrying was about! Lol.

How are you keeping? How many weeks are you now?

I know it doesn't seem like it now but the lap and dye will sort any problem and then like you said you can start treatment knowing you have a good chance Grin I had the lap and dye and it honestly isn't that bad you don't feel it and you'll be out the same day

Need to think how I'm going to lose weight once little one is out Grin

Sorry to hear you got a bfn wishful, but it seems like you have a really positive attitude to it all so that'll serve you well!

I'm afraid I had a wee cry in the doctors this afternoon! The hospital told me on Monday that my tubes were clear but today the consultant said the dye was slow going through so my tubes may be a little blocked. So instead of starting clomid, I'm going for a lap and dye with possible ovarian drilling Hmm.

I know it's to give me the best chance when I do eventually start clomid, but it just feels like its something else wrong with me and another setback.

On the plus side, I'm starting on metformin tomorrow and a low gi diet and hoping to loose a bit of weight!
