I didn't understand how the pair could have bought a child up in the house they lived in. It was a pig sty, they lived in one room, every other room was filled with junk.

As I understand it, there was one child of Matthews' and Hoare's union in existence at the time they were arrested.

It is alleged that Hoare was pregnant with twins at the time of arrest and, in the event that either or both of these 2 dc were born alive, they are 'further children' of her union with Matthews.

Hoare will be eligible for parole in 2023 and, even if she were to serve her full sentence, there will be ample time for her have more dc after she is released from prison.

If Matthews is released in early 2048 after serving 33 years less time served on remand, it will be 7 years before he attains pensionable age in 2055.

Other than natural/unnatural causes ending Matthews' life prematurely, the only guarantee that this killer will not be released from prison will by way of a whole life tariff imposed by the Home Secretary.

The expected news coverage of the verdicts/sentencing etc in the weekend's media has been superseded by the tragic events in Paris, otherwise I have no doubt that there would be calls for the Home Secretary to review Matthews' sentence which, of course, may still occur.

I find it curious that Hoare's defence made no mention of her alleged pregnancy, but if she did give birth while on remand it's to be hoped that any further children of her union with Matthews, together with their existing child, will be placed for adoption outside of their birth families.

No, he cannot be considered for release until he is 61 - and the judge was right to say that he might never be released.

Porn is a difficult one because there are loads of men, well virtually all men watch it.

Becky's stepmother has lost her son who has turned into a monster, the step daughter she brought up as her own as she had lived with her since she was 3, and her grandchildren! She has MS as well, her husband is the one steady thing she has in her life. They have lost a lot more than many of us will ever experience while being in the public spot life. They seem to be united in their grief of their huge loss as well as coming to terms with everything that has happened!

You can see the bump in the photo after the arrest in the full body one. I can't remember if it was 18 weeks at the time of the murder or at her arrest. But if she had gone on to have the twins they would have been born before the trial started.

Such a horrific case, and my heart goes out to them.

What about the parenting link? The mom hasn't even left the stepdad though they were both perfectly happy to bring this monster into her daughter's life. Their statement after the verdict was absolutely vile. They are apparently working hard to "repair their family" as they "know Becky would have wanted". A family so wonderful that the stepson killed his stepsister and nobody stepped in before it got that far.

In the papers it said 'she is no longer pregnant' which could mean miscarriage, abortion OR that she gave birth but they don't want to say so as the twins can then be surmised to be in care.

To my mind Hoare should have been given life with a recommendation that she serve 20 years and Matthews should have been given a whole life tariff.

As it is Hoare will be out in less than 8 years' time while Matthews can look forward to having his liberty restored long before he becomes of pensionable age.

Justice for the victim of this most heinous of crimes? I think not.

if she had had them surley that would of been leaked

i really dont know what to think of the twins,child etc,i suppose in the scheme of things its imaterial,but i admit im curious

It was claimed a family member asked her and her reply was "I am no longer pregnant" but no one knows what has happened either termination, miscarriage or if they have been born.

please please please let the prison authorities make sure they are watched 24/7 so that these cowards cannot commit suicide and take the easy way out,
