Its been reported that he fell out of the car in that incident he was in on the motorway at the weekend.

How do you fall out of a moving car?

It sounds bad.

A mate of DHs fell out of his dads car once.

He was in the back, mucking about, opening the door and shutting it again to annoy his dad. Fairly quiet country road luckily and not going that fast.

So anyway he opens the door, falls out this time but his dad and the front seat passenger are a) Chatting b) Have the radio on and c) have decided to ignore the plonker in the back so they didn't notice he'd fallen out for a mile or so.

I hear there were lots of drugs around in the 60's....

Army van in the style of Trumpton. Just brilliant.

My brother in law fell out of a car on the motorway. But he is not George Michael and in fact it was the back seat.
It was round about 1960 and as far as he recalls he just kind of...fell out. He was picked up by an army van travelling behind and returned to his parents promptly. There is much mystery about the exact circumstances and his mother, who is now 96, refuses to discuss.
He has regaled us with this story many times after family dinners, along with the ceremonial exhibition of the scar on his foot caused by a dropped roast potato.
But I remind you, he is not George Michael. Nor do we think he had eaten a jacket potato but as the incident is shrouded in mystery we shall never really know.

'a late-night potato feast'

We've all been there, Brian.

I'm sitting on a train snorting at Brian Harvey running over his own head. What a fud!

Bert He would have got away with it, if it wasn't for them pesky jacket potatoes Grin

Well, I think if he had a woman to take care of him, and maybe a couple of kids, to demonstrate how to use a car door safely, none of this would have happened.

Yes, Brian Harvey ran over his own head.

One of my favourite true stories ever.

Oh god, this always sets me off. Brian's account of the event is wonderful, too. www.timeout.com/london/music/brian-harvey-it-happened-here

Bunny, I didn't see that Wham photo at the time of the Snappy Snaps incident, I've given myself hiccups laughing at that. Much needed after the horror in today's news, thanks!

Awww, I reckon he really should have grown out of needing spliff at the age of 49. It's pathetic, in the truest sense of the word.

Grin

But that was probably what got him into this mess!

I want to take him a big fat spliff and a kebab

Oh dear. He seems such a lovely guy, I hope he's alright too.

If he'd still had his big 80's hair, it might have cushioned the blow a bit and minimised his head injury, poor old love. I want to take him some grapes and a bottle of lucozade.

I think it's what gets abbreviated on medical charts as 'PFO'....'Pissed and Fell Over'... or 'Pissed and Fell Out' in his case.

Another one here who loves George and really hopes he is OK Sad.

I won't speculate about possible causes of the incident (mainly because I can't think of anything plausible that hasn't already been mentioned) but I sincerely hope that the people closest to GM are giving him all the help & love he needs to sort any issues out.

I love George.

I really hope he's OK.

How can you fall out of a car on the motorway, and not cause a pile up in rush hour?

He doesn't live a boring life, that's for sure.

everyone loves him!! Indeed I wonder if he know what affection the general public have for him........

He's a troubled soul alright. I do wish he'd knock the dancey stuff on the head and do a decent ballad, but I am getting old.

I like GM, I hope he's ok.

Report
LineRunner · 21/05/2013 22:34

Possibly, Chub. A jump, a cry for help, a horrible row - who knows - it all sounds pretty desperate stuff.

I don't know if GM knows how much ordinary people actually really like him.

I saw a copper fall out the passenger side of a police van years ago. They went round a bend and the door opened. He obviously wasn't wearing a belt and came flying out. Slightly harder to do on a straight motorway I'd have thought.
