Amanda Knox

Her appeal is being heard at the moment, and there is a good chance she'll be freed.
So who did kill Meredith?
If she and her ex boyfriend are deemed innocent, I hope the Italian police will continue to look into the case and get some justice for her.
I don't understand why they say the DNA is flawed, or have Knox's parents just managed to hire some very smart lawyers?
It's such a sad case.

Thanks Nancy - so if the Guardian made the first mistake I wonder how long it was on their website?

90 seconds not 90 minutes

I thought this thread was finished with, but I've just found out that the Daily Mail has been hauled up for publishing the wrong news about the verdict online, for 90 minutes.

Interestingly, we have an allegation on here at page 15, that the Guardian did the same thing. I wonder if they are being pulled up as well?

Yes thank god for the Guardian -sometimes. I hope the Knox and Sollecito families sue the BBC though - along with the DM and all the other British press. They have been despicable - and I would guess they influenced the Kercher family to some extent.

Re the link above and Amanda Platell: "gobsmacking hypocrisy allied to almost sociopathic levels of over-confidence" - excellent! Sometimes, despite its flaws, you do have to think, thank god for the Guardian.

This is a very good article that explains a lot of the negative response to the way AK behaved

Anything that stops endless repetition of DM nonsense is good with me! Happy to discuss the evidence.

I've seen worse left up tbh. Then again, I've seen really innocuous stuff zapped too. Wish I'd saved it now.

She is mince though. You can't deny that...

I've had a post deleted! I'm outraged. I thought it was an entirely reasonable response given the circumstances. Now I feel I belong...

The person who murdered Meredith is in prison. He claims he didn't act alone and named 2 people who acted with him to get a reduced sentence.
I wonder who suggested the names of Merediths flat-mate and her boy-friend?
Possibly the Italian police who seemed determined to fit the events to their theory of what happened.?
I've always believed Amanda Knox to be innocent and Iam glad she's finally free.
The money she now makes due to her false imprisonment will most likely be used to pay the huge legal bills her family has incurred on her behalf. And also to contine to fight the Italian police who are continueing to persue her.

i'm amazed that people still think that there they're guilty, the lack of evidence and the huge leap from assumptions to fact are huge. I love that people think that a couple who had been dating for around a week would
a. want to kill her flatmate for such crap reasons as they'd had run-ins over being untidy
b. have the foresight to set up part of an alibi, they had spoken with RS father about a leak in the flat prior to the murder (cover for needing the mop and cleaning stuff and why AK had showered at hers)
c. that they chose to take a knife from RS's flat, use it, clean it and return it to his flat.
d. that they managed to clean a murder scene of all evidence of them but leave loads of DNA belonging to someone else.
e. that they would approach a unknown person (RG) to help them

I do love a bit of fuck knuckles. However, I must clarify, I have used fuck knuckles on this very board in the past. So I'm not stealing your word if I use it again. Wink

I've got a friend and he's hassling me at the minute, via Facebook, about 9/11 and his conspiracy theories. He wants to send me 5 DVDs about the theories and he is convinced that I will think the same as he does after I've watched them. I've not got the time, or inclination, to watch 5 conspiracy DVDs. But he will want to talk to me about them, won't he? Oh God.

Bupcakes Blush fuck knuckle's a great turn of phrase is it not? Grin

BOBS When I had friends I used to have to shake my head at the shite they came out with. Weapons of mass destruction, Amanda Knox, Barack Obama not being American, I could go on. They read some crap in the Sun or the Daily Fascist Bastard and recount it as fact when it bears as much resemblance to the truth as I do to Brad Pitt. Wink

Ahhhh but they did print a disclaimerthe next day saying that it was normal to write up a piece to cover two eventualities, and they had got quotes from the involved individuals in reaction to either outcome. Hmm Course you did.
